Check Out The Wall Street Journal's "Newshound Quiz"
Reported by Marie Therese - December 27, 2006 -
Earlier today, the Wall Street Journal announced the 2006 edition of an online feature. It's called "The Newshound Quiz" and its logo is a basset hound at a computer! Actually, for the trivia buffs among our readers, this blurb on WSJ Online makes it sound pretty interesting:
Newshound is a quiz on current events -- a way to test your news I.Q. and wile away a few afternoon minutes. Around noon ET on Fridays participants will be emailed five multiple-choice questions. The quiz is available only via email, so make sure to sign up if you want to participate. This is an open-book quiz; feel free to look up the answers. But remember, the game has two parts: 1) knowing the facts, and 2) being quick on the trigger. The reader whose email arrives at WSJ.com first containing all five correct answers will be the victor and will be dubbed "Newshound." Your prize: a Newshound T-shirt. What do you all think? Is this a case of Jungian synchronicity or has someone at the WSJ been sneaking a peek at our News Hound blog?
