FOX News Repeats Discredited Slurs Against Al Gore

On Friday night's Hannity & Colmes (8/18/06), "real journalism" FOX News featured guest Peter Schweizer, author of a now-discredited piece in USA Today smearing Al Gore's "greenness." Although Alan Colmes noted a lot of the falsehoods, substitute co-host Rich Lowry repeated them and Schweizer, whose employer has ties to the energy industry, was presented as a bona fide expert.
