Fox & Friends Discuss " Alien Invasion"

Reported by Deborah - April 14, 2006

The F&F trio, Steve Doocy, ED Hill and Brian Kilmeade, discussed the upcoming May 1st boycott over a biased banner reading " Alien Invasion". Usually F&F pretends the chatitorials are informal conversations between friends but that ploy was impossible today with the biased banner shouting their message.4/14/06

Doocy said that organizers called on supporters not to go to work or school and to spend no money on May 1st which is an international labor day. Hill wanted to know if May 1st was a "communist/socialist' kind of labor day and not a "democratic" kind of labor day. Doocy made a reference to the labor day observance in Russia.

Then Hill did one of her "Let me get this straight" routines..
" People who want to come to this country for a better way of life do what they can to hurt this way of life, economy, to show their strength because they're upset that we're trying to make it harder to come here? "

Doocy eager to show that the boycott wouldn't hurt the economy suggested that the temp workers would be paying taxes that day. He wanted to know if the boycott meant that hospitals and social services wouldn't be used which would save a lot of money too. Kilmeade joked " If you lose a finger or a toe, wait until May 2nd to have it attached."

Hill added some dubious balance with a story about "friends" who came here during the Reagan amnesty. Hill was all impressed that their son just graduated from Columbia adding that they paid for the tuition themselves and had great jobs. After this segment the friendship might be slightly strained.
