News Hound Alert - Karl Rove To Give Testimony In Plame Case - Without Guarantee He Won't Be Indicted

Reported by Donna - October 6, 2005

Monitoring Studio B and this just in from Wendall Goler at the White House. Karl Rove will testify for the fifth time in the Valerie Plame case, but this time it is not guaranteed that he won't be indicted.

In all of his prior testimonies he has been given the guarantee that he would not be indicted, but not this time.

Just wanted to get that out to you - fast.

Have at it.

Additional info: CNN is reporting that this is the 4th time Karl Rove will be testifying before the grand jury on the Valerie Plame case. Blitzer said he has been told by several sources that they are not necessarily looking for a charge of outing a CIA agent, but for perjury or lying under oath. They added that the president hasn't said whether he would fire someone who is indicted from his White House. Scotty McClellan is still holding with his not commenting on an ongoing investigation.
