Tom DeLay Tells Hannity He Wants To Get The Truth Out To America, Then Ducks Interview With Colmes
Reported by Ellen - September 29, 2005
Last night's Hannity & Colmes featured a very lengthy interview with just-indicted Tom DeLay by Sean Hannity, alone. Predictably, DeLay called his indictment a political vendetta. As has also become predictable with those who attack others for poisoned partisanship, it was but a precursor for an attack of his own.
At the end of the interview, Sean Hannity praised DeLay for coming on the show at such a difficult time. DeLay said he wanted to get the truth to the American people. If he was so anxious to be forthcoming and frank, then why did he avoid being interviewed by Alan Colmes?
Surprisingly, Hannity conducted a reasonably knowledgable and histrionic-free interview. I'm sure the histrionics will be back before long.
