Ain't No Way Around it. O'Reilly's a Liar

Reported by Melanie - August 8, 2004 -

On Tim Russert's CNBC show yesterday (August 7, 2004), Bill O'Reilly singled out one instance in the film Outfoxed, of "a hundred" he could have given, but didn't (because he "didn't want to waste" our time).

Instead, O'Reilly chose to cite an instance in the shut-up medley where he was "interviewing" Derek Henkle, the gay student who "got in some trouble." Last night O'Reilly claimed he'd said: "Why don't you just shut up about your sex life," and that it was edited in Outfoxed down to: "Why don't you just shut up."

Truth is, the entire line was "I'm asking you to shut up about sex," and the entire line was included in Outfoxed.

Here is the full transcript of Russert's show. Compare it to the Outfoxed transcript (A PDB file. See pg. 17).
