White hat, black hat

Reported by Chrish - June 16, 2004 -

Carl Cameron's assessment (June 15, 3:18pm) of Bush's and Kerry's outlooks on the economy is right in line with the current ads being aired by the Bush campaign.

He reports that they differ on the number of net jobs lost during Bush's tenure and ends with "So you have the Bush administration looking at the brighter side and the Kerry campaign, the challenger trying to oust the incumbent, looking at the darker one."

Comment: Painting Bush (the fearmonger in chief) as an optimist also builds on the comparisons touted last week during Reagan's long goodbye,.
