27 Former Diplomats Warn the Country

Today, 27 former diplomats and military leaders released a letter they signed jointly, strongly condemning President Bush's handling of US foreign policy and urging Americans to vote against him in November.
At 1:36 p.m. ET today on her show Dayside w/Linda Vester, before airing a segment to discuss this event, Linda Vester went to a break with the promo: "Is there a John Kerry political agenda behind this?"
The subsequent interview with Donald Eason, Former Ambassador to Nigeria was typical Fox, with Linda Vester taking the side of the Bush administration.
At one point Vester said: the 9-11 Commission "is reporting that Osama bin Laden did reach out to Iraq some years ago." Importantly, in a cover for the Bush administration, Vester failed to complete the sentence by saying "but, the Commission also determined that though Al Qaeda sent feelers out to Saddam Hussein, he never responded."
COMMENT: The crux of Vester's argument was made in the promo, again: "Is there a John Kerry political agenda behind this?" But one could easily ask whether there's a "George Bush agenda" behind Vester's own questions.
