Bush & NATO
Reported by Melanie - June 10, 2004 -
Adrian Finnegan reports on tonight's BBC World News that Bush said he "didn't expect NATO members to send more troops to Iraq." In a separate report, Jake Lynch says that Bush, "put as brave a face he could on his failure to secure more assistance."
COMMENT: In the US press, a reporter wouldn't say "his failure to secure more assistance." It would be worded such that NATO was the bad guy for failing to help, and then we'd start picking apart individual countries within NATO to specifically malign.
