Fox News Rehabilitates Andrew Breitbart, Allows Him To Posture As A Uniter Not A Divider

If Fox News thinks Andrew Breitbart is a legitimate pundit, then they ought to give Dan Rather his own prime time show pronto. Breitbart, you may recall, promoted, vouched for and lied about the deceptively edited ACORN videos. He also promoted the deceptively-edited Shirley Sherrod video and then recently misrepresented what he had said about it on his own website. Breitbart was also disinvited from ABC News’ election night coverage last fall for overstating his role in their coverage. Furthermore, Breitbart also boasts about his hostility toward liberals. But Breitbart was welcomed as a legitimate pundit for the leadoff “Top Story” segment on The O’Reilly Factor last night (4/22/11) and given a pass both on his questionable history and his ludicrous claim that he worries about divisiveness in our country.

O’Reilly Demands Liberals Condemn Death Threats Against Wisconsin Republicans. So Will He Condemn Death Threats Against Obama, Liberals And Others On Fox Nation?

Bill O’Reilly took to the airwaves last week and gravely reported on death threats received by Republican state senators in Wisconsin. He said “the situation is symptomatic of the bitter nationwide war going on between Republican cost cutters and Democratic pro-union forces. There are hard feelings on both sides… But death threats and the destruction of property have to be prosecuted.” Funny, though, he only seemed to find threats against Republicans. We’d like to suggest he take a stroll around Fox Nation which is a regular hang out for those who like to talk about killing President Obama, liberals, Muslims and more.

Sarah Palin Suddenly Advocates For Civility

Remember when Sarah Palin was whining that criticisms of her inflammatory rhetoric were an attempt to stifle her free speech? When she defiantly responded “I’m not gonna sit down. I’m not gonna shut up?” Well, Palin is singing a completely different tune now. When she appeared on the Hannity program to discuss the protests in Wisconsin, immediately following the Scott Walker Rehab segment, Palin lectured about the need for civility.
