I was not a fan of the hundreds of executive orders Bush signed. But maybe by this order Obama can get the Republicans in congress to take some action on the immigration issue which they have avoided for years. Of course they avoid the issue because it would force them to show that they have a schizophrenic attitude toward illegal workers. On the one hand, they love cheap labor! And having illegals around gives them a constant scapegoat. On the other hand they have to pretend to be against illegals so that people will vote for them. Its HARD to be a Republican!

So glad Fox is covering such an important event in our history—namely the choice of song sung at a kindergarten graduation. Those poor children will be affected by this decision for decades! Some of them will surely grow up and choose not to join the military simply because they did not hear this song enough. I hope Fox will continue to talk about this. Perhaps start a campaign to play this song for every kindergarten class every day of the school year, until all the little 5 yo kids want to be soldiers, like they should be.

I’m not surprised that Hannity and Malkin would feel threatened by calls for civility. Without the ability to make vicious personal attacks on people, Hannity would have nothing to say and no listeners/viewers and Malkin would probably have to just sit there and sneer at the air.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to work in an environment in which it is required to either be in complete denial about what their network basically stands for, or to just be faking it every day. Such deception would be beyond my abilities. And I am not surprised that Fox employees blunder over the line of professional behavior so regularly, and that they are not punished for occassionally pulling off the mask on themselves. It must be confusing for a lot of them.
