Fox News Conservatives Gripe Over North Korea’s Release Of Journalists
Self-styled “Great American” Sean Hannity and his guest, Fox News contributor Dana Perino, claimed to be happy last night (8/4/09) about the release of Current TV’s two journalists from imprisonment in North Korea, but everything else said and unsaid indicated otherwise. There was no joy from Hannity or Perino about two young ladies being pardoned from their sentence of 12 years of hard labor, no curiosity about how they had been treated during their five months in captivity, whether they were well and how their friends and families had coped during the ordeal. Instead, Hannity and Perino took swipes at Obama and Clinton by whining that foreign policy may have been compromised, though they never offered any evidence that it had. Elsewhere, Fox News contributor John Bolton also sneered at the release as did Fox News producers and editors. With video.

Lest There Be Any Doubts About Fox News Demographics
In addition to providing short propaganda bites under the guise of information, the “fresh pickings” of Bret Baier’s “Grapevine” are also a shout out to the right wing. Wednesday night’s (February 18th) “Grapevine” was a double shot for their target audience. In addition to providing affirmation for those who are upset about the gay community’s boycott of those businesses who supported Prop 8, an issue that Bill O’Reilly reinforced in one of his many homophobic screeds, it also provided an example, to the target audience, of why they hate Bill Clinton. Surprisingly, the data was sourced. If the source was any indication of the target audience, it’s pretty clear that they're sitting on the far right side of the aisle.

Hannity Asks: What's The Difference, Morally Speaking, Between Bill Clinton And Blagojevich?
During the final Hannity & Colmes show on 1/9/09, Sean Hannity seemed wistful as he reminisced about the impeachment days of Bill Clinton. Then, in an obvious bout of wishful (albeit fantastical) thinking, he asked guest Lanny Davis (a former Clinton spokesman on the show) if Rod Blagojevich's transgressions weren't similar to Clinton's. With video.

Sean Hannity: Misinformer of 2008
Could there be a more deserving candidate than Sean Hannity for this award from Media Matters? No, but there were lots of runners up on FOX. And how did the winner receive the news? By acting like a sore loser. Bullyboy Hannity, who nightly promotes and relishes character attacks on others, can't seem to take what he so readily dishes out. Within hours of his coronation, Hannity announced that Media Matters had won the "first-ever Left-Wing Obamamania Media Propaganda Sleaze Award." And all this time, I had felt certain he hated me more!

Colmes Asks Rove, “What Have You Leaked?”
It's not clear to me that Alan Colmes was referring to the Valerie Plame case but I thought I detected a note of mischief in his voice tonight when, during a discussion about leaks about Obama appointments, Colmes began his portion of a discussion with Karl Rove by asking, “Karl, what have you leaked?” With video.
