For those of you who have been fortunate enough never to have seen his appearances on Fox News, allow me to sum up Steven Crowder for you. Crowder is a mediocre shock jock whose hateful rhetoric has earned him many posts on News Hounds - which he tries to pass off as jokes. On the August 2 Fox & Friends, he “joked” that the difference between conservatives and liberals is that liberals maim and rape people. Hahaha. (H/T Raw Story)
The segment began with Brian Kilmeade talking about the “orderly show of consumer customer support for Chick-Fil-A,” (which his show heavily supports), then raised his voice to fear monger about the “violent confrontations at Occupy demonstrations.” You know, violent demonstrations like this, this, and this… wait, aren’t those instances where the violence was against the protesters?
Kilmeade opened the interview with Crowder by suggesting asking him if he saw a difference between the two types of protesters. With his trademark smirk, Crowder replied “Of course I see a difference between the two; firstly, people will see the Chick-Fil-A situation and not think it’s really a protest. It’s just conservatives and leftists protest in different ways. Conservatives, when they want their voices heard, they decide to effect real political change by making their voices heard through voting with their dollar; Liberals decide to commit felonies and harass and assault and maim and rape their fellow occupiers in tents while tipping over police cars. So, there is a little bit of a contrast.”
OK, Steven, let me stop you right there. Kilmeade may have let a comment like that pass, but I won’t. Putting aside that you’re spouting this on a network whose website readers discussed murdering Occupiers, and that Priscilla already discussed some of the abusive boycotts Fox News endorsed/ignored and you forgot… allow me to present a list of criminal activity shown by both right wing protesters and Fox News viewers.
Let’s start with how Fox News’ Facebook page received 8000 death threats against atheists after Blair Scott, of the American Atheists, appeared on the network to discuss his lawsuit to prevent a cross from being erected at the World Trade Center Memorial site.
Then we can move on to the death threats against Imam Rauf regarding the Park 51 project - a regular target on Fox News.
After that, check out the kind of personal abuse handed out to Sandra Fluke for the supposed crime of being a voice for the opposing view in the contraception mandate debate.
How about I bring up O’Reilly’s unhinged crusade against George Tiller? Beck’s attacks on Tides which were linked to would-be assassin Byron Williams? Or deliberately inflaming racial tensions during coverage of the Trayvon Martin case?
Tired of examples just out of Fox News? How about we move on to people with ties to right wing movements?
Jerry R. Kane: Member of the right-wing Sovereign Movement, and a Tea Party speaker. At least until he got into a violent shootout with the West Memphis Police.
Scott Dekraai: Killed eight people at a Seal Beach salon. Had evidence of being a Tea Party supporter in and on his truck.
Ezell Harris: Drug Dealer. Running for office on a Tea Party Platform at time of arrest.
Ok, enough examples.
With typical Fox News broadstroke, Kilmeade played a video of a guy shamefully mouthing off to a Chick-Fil-A cashier and played it off like it was typical of people who oppose Chick-Fil-A’s stance.
I wonder how they’d feel if I took any one of the examples I’ve provided so far and used the same technique on their viewers, or right-wing protest groups?
FNC Contrib Explains Difference Between 'Conservative,' 'Leftist' Protesters: Liberals 'Maim' And 'Rape'
On Friday, Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade spoke with Fox News contributor Steven Crowder about differences in demonstrations, specifically concerning the nation-wide Chick-fil-A and Occupy Wall Street protests. Why? Because why not! This is the most important and necessary comparison of our time, maybe of anyone's time.
It’s not especially well-known just how deep Arpaio is with the Tea Party, most people think he’s just a casual supporter unless they live in Maricopa or did a lot of research. But he’s one of the biggest, if not the biggest name for the right on the immigration debate. So how ironic is it that three of his top employees- and I mean top as in they’re also high profile and he saw them DAILY- turned out to be human traffickers?
Seriously, Google it. Then lament on how sad it is that him possibly being that (obscene adjective) incompetent is the option that makes me feel the safest entering his juristiction when I visit family.
Much as I’d like to keep dropping examples, I’m gonna stop commenting on my own article unless Crowder takes the hounds who invited him up on our offer to defend his statement. Someone message or Email me if that ever happens.

Ezell Harris: Drug Dealer. Running for office on a Tea Party Platform at time of arrest.*
Byron Williams: I-580 freeway shooter claimed he was “blown away” by Glenn Beck; Beck’s statements inspired him to “start a revolution” by attacking the ACLU and Tides Foundation.
Jared Lee Loughner: The Tuscon shooter of former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was a known anti-Semite.
Anders Behring Breivik: Norwegian mass-murderer claimed he wanted to “save” Norway from a “Muslim invasion”.
Wade Michael Page: Wisconsin Sikh Temple shooter a known white supremacist according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Well, Steve, it looks as though there’s one other difference between liberals and conservatives: conservatives likes to shoot people . . .
.
Most of Fox News’ case for OWS rape before it attracted real cases like the one in Philly was based on videos by Breitbart’s Lee Stranahan. I remember that.
But here’s what you reminded me of:

Two cities, one woman- if you go through them all, she appears in almost every video of his series, as do two of the other complaining “protesters.” Indie radio host Sam Seder caught this and offered a reward for proof she wasn’t an actress Breitbart hired, and/or credible testimony of her claims.

It was never collected, and only a few other bloggers/indie sources even mentioned it.
Several of us (including myself) asked Crowder if he felt like coming over and defending his claims on his FB and Twitter last night. Or at least making an attempt there. Maybe if he reads the comments as well, he can explain this- I mean, since he knows so much about protesters…
