Last week, Senator Lindsey Graham assured viewers, On the Record and elsewhere, that the “dam was about to break” on the Benghazi incident, thanks to last Wednesday’s House Committee hearing featuring three whistle blowers. I guess the dam hasn’t broken, because last night Graham was back On the Record promising more whistle-blowers – even though he declared he was “tired” of them and what he really wanted was a joint select committee and testimony from eye-witnesses.
First, Graham expressed disgust at President Obama's press conference of yesterday, which he considered an insult to his intelligence. “Does the President of the United States really believe that the American people are going to imbibe the story... that he called Benghazi a terrorist attack from the get-go? …We're not stupid in America and we're going to keep pushing.”
Why did the President keep repeating the same lines, Van Susteren prompted him, in a voice almost Malkin-esque with outrage. Graham replied it was because “the mainstream media -- thank God for Fox and CBS and a few other outlets -- basically have allowed eight months to go unchallenged…[Obama] believes that he can keep denying the obvious and it will work. Well, it's caught up with him.”
Did he have any indication Senator Harry Reid would go along with a select committee? Van Susteren asked. Graham doubted it. “It's been so disappointing to see my Democratic colleagues who were all about getting to the bottom of Bush's failures. …I wish and pray and hope that one Democrat would take what happened in Benghazi as seriously as the IRS…. We're going to have a hearing [on the IRS) and everybody's outraged. What about four people killed by al Qaeda-backed terrorists eight months ago, and our government lied about what happened to them? What about the death trap that was created called Benghazi consulate? What about the seven-and-a-half hours they were being attacked and nobody could come to their aid? Where's the outrage there?”
There are more whistleblowers we could hear from, Graham informed us, but he didn’t say what they would tell us, or whether it would add to what Gregory Hicks had already said. Then (perhaps out of frustration that Hicks et al had not broken that metaphorical dam) he added, “I'm tired of whistle-blowers. It's eight months since the attack, and not one survivor has been allowed to come forward on their own without fear of losing their job….We should call every survivor before the Congress, protecting their identity if necessary, to get to the bottom of this! I can't believe after eight months, the American people have not heard from one survivor other than a whistle-blower!”
Graham was also on America’s Newsroom this morning venting because Obama was talking about the IRS issue and not Benghazi. Gee, Senator, you get a fresh scandal handed to you on a silver platter and you're upset because it's not your scandal? Get a life.
If President Obama would just produce his long form birth certificate, the questions would go away.
If President Obama would just allow the State of Hawaii to let his original birth certificate be examined in person, the questions would go away.
Starting to notice any similarities with the Benghazi non-scandal?
Lindsay has a life, but as a conservative he has to keep it hidden lest his boyfriend be discovered.
Yeah, because you and all the other GOPers were so eager to get to the bottom of Bush’s failures. Oh, wait a minute. No. None of you GOPer goobers ever thought for a fucking second that Bush had any failures. It took the Dems winning both Houses of Congress in 2006 for Congress to even begin any type of investigations into all of Dubya’s failures. (And even then, Pelosi stated, even before the election, that if the Dems did regain control of Congress that there would be no consideration of impeachment—despite all of the legitimate reasons that the Dems had to consider proceedings.)
So, take all your fake concerns and shove them up your ass. (You’ll still be able to accomodate that 20-year old rentboy you hire—the one you lovingly nicknamed “Fisty.”)*
*Okay. Maybe I went a bit far there but Queen Lindsey really gets on my last nerve with his bitchy cattiness (something you’d expect from the contestants on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” not a US Senator).
Well here, Lindsey; lemme help you out . . .
Benghazi Bombshell: Leaked Emails Were Edited to Make Obama Look Bad
By: Sarah Jones May. 14th, 2013
Turns out the press got played again by Republicans. Jake Tapper has the smoking gun of the original email from the Obama administration which differs significantly from the “leaked emails” ABC ran with.
In an exclusive for CNN, Tapper reveals that CNN has the original email sent by a top Obama aide, regarding the administration’s reaction to the Benghazi attacks. Tapper reported, “The actual email differs from how sources characterized it to two different media organizations.”

Looks like the only “dam” that was about to break in the one in Graham’s Depends . . .
