Sen. Kirsten Gllibrand will take part in a Fox News town hall in about one hour. This is an open thread for all thoughts and observations on the town hall as well as comments about her choice of appearing in a Fox News town hall.
Presumably, Fox News will post the entire video and when that happens, I will embed the video(s) here.

I’ve read through Fox News’ live blog on the town hall and watched part one.
The first thing I noticed was this obviously is a Fox News audience. I saw one black woman in the introductory audience pan. One! Everyone else is white and almost exclusively older. Sure, it’s Dubuque, Iowa, a city that’s 91.7% white. Not an audience likely to be very receptive to her. Applause was there but polite, not enthusiastic. I noticed early on one woman behind her giving rolling eye glances to the person next to her; she also later is caught twiddling her fingers. Nobody was smiling. Many looked bored. It’s held on a college campus but where are the students in the audience?
Gillbrand isn’t distinguishing herself. Part of the problem is Wallace is determined in his questioning to prove Gillbrand a flip-flopping hypocrite. One pitiful example is Wallace asking her about Al Franken. Really? Who gives a darn about old news Franken given all the issues facing America? In another he dredges up the Clintons – more old news.
Overall, Gillibrand’s message is almost purely pandering to women’s issues (and the audience is at least 50% men or more). The one exception is her early on taking on the NRA hard.
Nothing on Mueller and not much talk of Trump. Nothing really on the economy including trade policy and tariffs. Nothing at all on foreign policy. Nothing on immigration. Nothing on criminal justice reform. Very little on pay inequality except Gillibrand is big on equal pay for woman. Of course, this is all based on part one alone. I couldn’t find part two’s video:

In fairness to Fox, in the second half of the town hall they appear to have touched on some of these issues. However, I have to depend on their razor thin descriptions in their live blog which don’t reveal much:
