Jon Stewart Explains Sarah Palin’s “WTF” Sputnik Moment
Just when I thought Sarah Palin’s “WTF” comments - that Sputnik resulted in the collapse of the Soviet Union - were the height of Palin hilarity, along came Jon Stewart who put together the puzzle pieces to reveal… Palin is a Russian spy! Yes, after watching this segment, there is only one conclusion – the governor is a Faked Alaska!

Palin: Sputnik Resulted In The Collapse Of The Soviet Union
Ruh-Roh! Sarah Palin may have outdone herself in the foolishly ignorant comments department last night (1/26/11) - and this time she can’t blame Katie Couric or Charles Gibson or anyone in the “lamestream media.” No, this foolish ignorance came as the result of a simple question from Greta Van Susteren on Fox News, asking for Palin’s reaction to President Obama’s statement, “This is our generation’s Sputnik moment.” Not only did Palin misconstrue what Obama had meant by that, she made the astonishing claim that Sputnik “incurred so much debt at the time that it resulted in the inevitable collapse of the Soviet Union.” Van Susteren did not challenge any of Palin’s ridiculous remarks.

Fox News Casts Jon Voight As A National Security Expert To Advocate Against START Treaty
Where else but on Fox News would a so-called news show trot out the likes of Jon Voight to analyze the START treaty? You can almost see the wheels turning in the minds of Hannity show producers: nuclear disarmament issues? Let’s turn that complicated subject into a made-for-TV-News skit. Predictably, the treaty got sidelined as a prop in a production more focused on portraying President Obama as the big threat to our country.

Watch Out, America! Glenn Beck Is Snooping Into Your Rolodex For Evidence You Might Be Too Friendly With A Commie. He’s Also Distorting The Situation In Afghanistan To Suggest President Obama Is A Traitor
Glenn Beck, that uber patriot so devoted to his country he’d cry for it, has some tough standards to pass his good citizenship test. It’s no longer enough to love your country and, unlike Beck, actually serve it in some way. No, now, even if you are president and, say, take too long making up your mind about a strategy in Afghanistan, even if it’s a war you inherited, and even if the top military commander there supports your actions, that’s grounds for questioning whose side you’re on. As for the rest of us, we’d all better make sure we don’t have anyone suspicious in our Rolodexes. Poor Bertha Lewis, head of ACORN, was found to have members of the Venezuela Embassy staff in hers. So you know what that means? Obama might not be on the side of America! With video, for those who can stomach it.

Why Can't Hannity Criticize Obama Without Lying?
Media Matters caught Sean Hannity doing it again. They write:
On the July 7 edition of his Fox News show, Sean Hannity deceptively cropped President Obama's answer to a question from Fox News senior White House correspondent Major Garrett about the Cold War to suggest that Obama did not acknowledge the actions of past U.S. presidents in freeing Eastern Europe. In fact, as part of his answer, Obama stated, "I'm very proud of the traditions of Democratic and Republican presidents to lift the Iron Curtain," a comment Hannity edited out of the clip he aired of Obama's response... Media Matters for America has documented a pattern by Hannity and other Fox News personalities of cropping Obama's comments abroad to misrepresent their meaning.
If Obama's the radical socialist Hannity likes to paint him as, you'd think he could find ample ammunition without resorting to misrepresenting and distorting the facts. Don't hold your breath for a retraction.
