If you follow Rupert Murdoch on Twitter (which I do), you know that he regularly spouts off his conservative opinions without any pretense at being fair and balanced. MSNBC’s Chris Hayes recently discussed Murdoch's tweets, saying the media mogul “uses Twitter like an angry dude who spends all day on conservative message boards. He doesn’t like something? He’s hittin’ 'tweet.'”
In his February 20 commentary, Hayes showcased a tweet of Murdoch’s citing the “wild winter” in the UK as “no respectable evidence” of being caused by man made climate change - “in spite of blindly ignorant politicians.”
But Hayes pointed out that Murdoch is from Australia where it is “so hot, it is on fire, literally.” In fact, Hayes added, Australia just had its hottest year on record with heat waves becoming “more frequent and hotter.”
Hayes also displayed a recent newspaper headline saying, “Kangaroos ‘Fainting’ In Australia Heatwave.”
“What leftwing propaganda outlet could have published this dispatch you ask?” Hayes asked.
You guessed it, one of Murdoch’s own.
