Van Susteren Throws Stones At The Media From Her Glass House At FOX News

On Friday Oct 24th, Greta Van Susteren, of FOX News' On The Record, posted an article on FOXNews.com entitled, Former Newsweek Reporter? Huh? (Lucky Newsweek...ugh). In a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, Van Susteren complains that a Newsweek reporter has admitted he was biased against Rudy Giuliani. Funny, but we don't recall any similar outrage from Van Susteren when FOX News reporter Carl Cameron was caught on film bragging to George W. Bush about his (Cameron's) wife campaigning for Bush.

Dick Morris Longs For A Different Republican Nominee

Despite the best efforts of Sean Hannity to spin Friday night's debate (9/26/08) as a win for John McCain, conservative pundit Dick Morris wasn't buying it. During his post-debate interview, he said that Barack Obama won the debate. Then, during his time with Alan Colmes, a notably deflated Morris said, “Frankly, listening to Rudy Giuliani (a previous guest), it emphasized overwhelmingly how the Republican Party nominated the wrong candidate.” Oops, time up, even though Colmes got less than half the time Hannity got in the segment. Video after the jump.

In Honor Of 9/11, Hannity Smears Democrats As Anti-American

Barack Obama and John McCain put aside their political differences in order to honor the solemnity of the September 11 anniversary, but on last night's (9/11/08) Hannity & Colmes, “Great American” Sean Hannity blatantly used it as an excuse to smear Democrats with a load of distortions in order to paint them as un-American. FOX Friends line-up reads like who's who in right-wing politics

The overarching theme on FOX and Friends this morning 8/27/08 was that Hillary Clinton's speech was excellent, for her and the Democratic Party, but not so much for Barack Obama. Even faced with the reality of Clinton giving her full support to Obama and urging party unity for a win in November, FOX and friends are still pushing the meme that she does not fully support him, the party remains divided, and McCain is forging ahead even as the Democratic convention is in process. Also repeatedly mentioned was the talking point that after seeing how fantastic Hillary was last night a lot of party members might be suffering "buyers' remorse." Fairandbalanced hosted Rudy Giuliani and Karl Rove, simultaneously, to reinforce the view.

While Excoriating Edwards For Cheating, FOX News Overlooks McCain’s Cheating Past

Hannity & Colmes devoted its entire program last night (8/8/08) to John Edwards’ affair, probably with the same kind of relish that has not been seen since the Monica Lewinsky days. Certainly there was nothing similar in the coverage of the sex scandals of Republicans Larry Craig, David Vitter or Vito Fossella. In fact, don't recall any coverage of either Fossella or Vitter. Sean Hannity waxed sanctimoniously about Edwards, “It’s a character issue... If you cheat on your wife, are you gonna be honest with your country?” Yet neither he nor anyone else questioned whether John McCain could be honest with his country, given his history of cheating on his first wife after she had been gravely injured. And Hannity helped fundraise for another adulterating presidential candidate, Rudy Giuliani. Updated: With video.
