Gabriel Sherman's unauthorized biography of Fox News' Roger Ailes is now an official New York Times bestseller. While this is great news for those of us who care about the state of our news media, this is bound to be very upsetting to Mr. Ailes, himself. You may recall Ailes fired his close aide, allegedly over leaks to Sherman, and canceled Sherman's subscription to the newspaper owned by Ailes and run by his wife.
According to the Huffington Post, Sherman's book, The Loudest Voice In The Room, will debut at number 9 on the Times' bestseller list. HuffPo notes:
Although Sherman said he reached out to Ailes "more than a dozen times for comment" while developing the book, the chief denied to participate and Fox News has pushed back hard against the allegations. Sherman has referred to his subject Ailes as "the most powerful man in American that most Americans don't know and should know."
I could not agree more that it's important for Americans to know and understand Ailes - and more important that they know and understand what he has done to our media. Let's hope this is just the beginning.
“And OMG, if he ran with his legs like he runs with sexism, he’d be holding the world record for every race he entered.”
Hmmmmmmmmm, given his IMMENSE girth, I’m not so sure about Roger Ailes holding the world record for races he enters, but I can guarantee you this much: he would certainly hold the world record for CAUSING EARTHQUAKES!
;^)
And — unlike the rightwingnut screeds that make the NYT bestseller lists — no bulk buying needed!
