Presidential Election - Live Blogging And Open Thread

Posted by Ellen -376.20pc on November 06, 2012 · Flag

I'll be live blogging Fox News coverage of the election. Please share your thoughts and observations of Fox coverage or any other aspect of the election in our comments section.

10:11 - Claire McCaskill re-elected.

10:11 Mike Pence elected IN governor.

10:00 Romney wins MT and WY

Tucker Carlson just said Scott Brown was "pretty much on the far left spectrum." He also said that Nancy Pelosi will no longer be House Minority Leader.

Fox said it's almost certain Democrats will retain Senate.

9:54 Obama wins NH.

9:53 Elizabeth Warren beat Scott Brown!

9:44 Tammy Baldwin just beat Tommy Thompson for WI Senate. I think it's a safe bet now Dems will retain control of Senate.

9:35 Richard Mourdock lost to Democrat Donnelly!

9:27 Liz Cheney says missing votes in FL are in the panhandle, which is reddest part of state.

Fox declared GOP retains control of the House of Representatives.

Another O'Reilly video in which he carps, basically, that Obama is winning because the "white establishment" is now in the minority and minorities "want stuff." From Think Progress again.

9:25 WI goes to Obama

9:24 Obama wins NM

9:19 Bob Beckel just said that with FL this close, there may be a recount.

9:15 Obama won PA!!!

Obama won NY.

9:00 Obama wins MI

Romney wins TX, KS, ND and LA.

Romney also won WY, SD and at least 4 of 5 electoral votes in NE.

8:58 Bob Casey (D-PA) won re-election.

8:50 Laura Ingraham on now. I'm not a fan but she's upfront and honest, usually.

8:39 Chris Murphy (D) won Joe Lieberman's CT senate seat. Buh-Bye Linda McMahon.

8:37 Huckabee now saying GOP has to do better job of reaching out to people of color. I don't think he'd be saying that if the thought Romney is doing well.

8:31 Romney just won AR

8:22 O'Reilly blaming Sandy for potential loss. Video via Think Progress.

8:15 Think Progress says Democrat Bill Nelson is re-elected Senator in FL and Ind Angus King, who's expected to caucus with Dems, has won the Senate seat in ME.

8:14 I wish they'd report on Senate and other races.

8:03 Obama just won NJ, MD, CT, RI, DE, IL, DC, VT and 3 out of 4 electoral votes in ME. Romney won MS, OK, IN and KY

7:52 Megyn Kelly just announced excitedly that Romney won GA. Yawn.

7:39 Fox just called SC for Romney. No surprise, as even Baier admitted.

7:32 Barrone said the fact that they can't call NC shows Obama hasn't lost too much ground.

7:30 Romney just won WV.

7:30 Bret Baier says it's too soon to say who won NC, whose polls just closed.

7:30 Kirsten Powers: I do read something into this... I'm surprised (Obama's) doing as well as he is (in Virginia).

7:27 Brit Hume: People don't want to let go (of Barack Obama)... It doesn't mean the President's going to win.

7: 27 ET Michael Barrone: This is a very close race. Ohio looks to be very close.

Unfortunately Paul Ryan kept his congressional seat. Too bad we couldn’t get rid of him permanently.

I am so confident of Obama’s victory that I’m now speculating on how many seconds before the Morning Muppets on the curvy couch utter the words voter fraud.

Crushed is right, Brian – 55% to 39%! Well, at least this particular race has restored some of my faith in my home state of MO.

Brian Hicks said, "Claire McCaskill Crushed Akin. "

A legitimate win if there ever was one!

I just saw that Allen West and Murphy are tied at 50% each with 92% of vote in.

McCaskill just won MO!

Sarah Palin coming up. Why? What can she offer to the discourse?

Where’s Hannity? I want to see him cry.
