Fox & Friends Uses Gold Star Father To Attack CA Mayor

The Fox "friends" love veterans and love to feature stories about veterans - except for those that are about veterans being beaten up at "Occupy" protests! If there is any injustice - except for veterans being beaten up at "Occupy" protests - shown to American veterans, the red, white, and blue pals are there to expose the outrage. And according to Fox News, such an outrage took place in Richmond, California where the mayor was not doing her duty to honor veterans on Veterans Day. What made this even more of an egregious outrage was that according to the Fox News website and Fox Nation, this "California Mayor Snubs Veterans to Attend Occupy Rally." Spreading the word about this dastardly deed were the patriots on Fox & Friends who didn't really tell the whole story but all's fair in love, war, and character attacks on Fox & Friends who, in this patriotic segment, had a Gold Star dad as a human shield.

Rick Perry The Destroyer? Says He Plans To “Take A Wrecking Ball To Washington”

Rick Perry repeatedly declared last night in his interview with Sean Hannity that he plans to “take a wrecking ball to Washington.” At times he qualified it by saying he planned to use the wrecking ball on the tax structure and regulations. But let’s not forget that this is the same guy who talked up seceding from the union. And he’s the same guy who is proud of having executed 234 people as Governor of Texas. Is this what America really wants in a president?

Fox & Friends Not Happy About "Disrespectful" Anti-War Recruiters

As I reported in an another thread, Brian Kilmeade seemed quite upset that the Portland OR schools are now allowing those with anti-war views to have the same access to students that military recruiters have. His segment was designed to leave viewers with the impression that this policy is providing the anti-war recruiters with more access than the military despite the fact that this will not begin until January. The Fox propaganda message was that the very existence of these anti-war folks was an unpatriotic slap in the face to the US military. Earlier in the program, the three "morning muppets" (love Gawker) covered the same territory in setting the right wing propaganda meme for the day. While they did correctly note that this is a new policy, their message was that because anti-war recruiters and military recruiters aren't really the same, the policy is silly and "disrespectful of the military." They also worked in the requisite right wing fear and loathing of librul education. Ah, don't ya love the smell of patriotism in the morning!

Brian Kilmeade Warns About Unpatriotic "Anti-War Recruiters" In OR Schools

The curvy couch crew on Fox & Friends are true Merkin (thank you Aunty Em) patriots who love the military even though none of them have served in it. Last week, Brain (whoops Brian) Kilmeade reported on a pernicious threat to the military that is occurring as a result of evil libruls educators in evil librul Portland Oregon who are, according to the military and Fox News, allowing "anti-war" recruiters to have more access to students than the military. The reality is that the Portland Oregon School Board has just voted to allow those with anti-war views to have the same access to students as does the military. But that's not what you learned on Fox & Friends, not exactly a paragon of "fair & balanced," which conveyed a very different message about unfairness to the military.

Against All Facts Fox’s Phony War On Halloween Grows More Incomprehensible

When Fox “News” starts hammering at a meme it’s never hard to figure out why. Usually it falls into one (or more) of the following rubrics: Defending the GOP; defending the Teabaggers; defending the latest Republican to say something stupid; attacking President Obama; deflecting blame of President George W. Bush by attacking Obama; deflecting blame of the GOP by attacking Obama; defending Jesus; defending Christians; defending the flag; and defending Patriots both true and phony. That’s why Fox’s Phony War on Halloween™ is so incomprehensible. To start, it doesn’t fall into any of the above categories. Furthermore, the holiday itself seems to be diametrically opposed to Fox Audience Values™. In fact, there are whole swaths of ‘Merkin Fundamentalist Communities (traditionally a big part of the Fox “News” audience) who believe that Halloween is the devil’s holiday and, if they had their way, they’d ban it. Furthermore, the aims of those who wish to moderate the holiday (during school hours) would seem to dovetail with several Fox memes, mostly those about how the educational system is failing our children. So, when The Foxy Friends on Fox and Friends doubled down yesterday and called it an “all-out assault on Halloween,” I listened extra carefully to see if I could hear the dog whistle. Watch:
