After getting a shellacking from Kirsten Powers two nights ago, O’Reilly cued up Megyn Kelly to validate him discuss the issue of a school teacher caught reading pornography on the job again last night. Well, well, well.
Regardless of how you feel about the reinstatement of a teacher in Wisconsin after he was fired for viewing pornography at work, it’s hardly a matter of such great importance that it merits two discussions at Fox News. The fact of the matter is that the teacher, with the help of his teachers union, took his case to arbitration and won. So the teacher had to be reinstated.
That is, it's unworthy of two discussions unless you’re a thin-skinned talk show host with a thing about public schools, teachers unions and oh, yeah, sex.
Not surprisingly, Kelly fell all over herself condemning the teacher - and taking O'Reilly's side. With her trademark theatrical outrage, she cried, “He’s sitting there with your seventh grader, and you’re OK if he’s looking at this stuff and then interacting your child? Something’s wrong with that! …I think he’s a disgusting pervert!” Yet, Kelly, an attorney, never explained why the arbitrator thought the teacher should be reinstated. Even though Powers, not an attorney, did. When O'Reilly said that Powers had called the firing unfair (without explaining why Powers said so), Kelly - without asking why - exclaimed an outraged, "WHAT?"
In short, there was no new information imparted about the case. So it’s hard to see why it was brought up again, other than to bolster O’Reilly’s attack on a member of one of his favorite targets. And his ego.
Bill is very thin-skinned and vindictive when he feels slighted by underlings. He probably didn’t have a teachers union defending him in his case and is happy to attack any teachers union in return!
On second thought, I’m sure the gutless coward only became a teacher to avoid military service and quit the very second he was sure they couldn’t force him to go!
I’m not condoning the guy’s actions but really, this is a freakin’ tempest in a teapot. I mean, if they really want to investigate something criminal, why not do a study of why a good Young Republican man, like Ted Bundy, would become a serial killer? Or why a conservative pundit would choose to sexually harass his female producer and then NOT reveal the details of the settlement that kept his ass from a full-fledged jury trial? (I’m sure that no one needs any hints as to whom I’m referring there.)
Imagine Fox “News” mouthpieces viewing porn on their computer at News Corporation. We highly doubt they would be fired.
