Bill O'Reilly was on David Letterman last night and there were some pretty funny moments, mostly at his expense. But I have to say one thing about Bill: He knows how to go on oppo shows with good humor. There are a lot of earnest Democratic pundits who could take a lesson from him. And if they don't understand that going on a Fox News show is very little different from going on, say, Late Night with David Letterman - well, you have no business going on Fox in the first place.

Letterman – “You’re the Klown Bill!”
O’Reilly – “No – you’re the Klown David!”

Well, I find it amazing that I can sit here at my kitchen table and totally understand the venue, and that most of those that purportedly speak for us have not a freaking clue.
Therefore, I’m still adamant……avoid Fox. Anytime any of us visit those halls, we lend credibility to a network of insanity. It has NEVER gone well for us.

mlp, I meant you have no business going on Fox if you don’t understand that it’s political theater akin to the David Letterman show. I’m still adamant that Dems should go on Fox… but they need to understand the venue – which they frequently don’t.

“….well, you have no business going on Fox in the first place.”
Okay…..I absolutely agree. BUT…I seem to remember having some lively discussions some of the ‘Hounds ladies who felt hat it was important that Dems & libs make appearances on Fox in order to not let Fox control the ’message’. We can see how THAT worked out, eh? One cannot reason with the irrational. It gets even more silly when one considers the Fox audience.
As to Billo’s appearance on Letterman…….when I saw that he was going to be a guest, I turned off the TV and read a book. But I expect he was ‘amiable’ and actually quite coherent. He can be quite the chameleon…..but his bread is buttered by loons, and I think he realizes that he will only decline from the perch he occupies at Fox. He lusts (Ugggghhhhh!) for the bigtime!.
