Bill O'Reilly carried on the Fox News tradition of race-baiting on Martin Luther King Day tonight with a twofer that included President Obama. In a discussion about today's inaugural address, O'Reilly told guest Bob Woodward that the reason Obama doesn't like Republicans is because they are the "purveyors of white privilege" and he "doesn't like the white privilege thing."
O'Reilly said:
It's pretty clear that he doesn't like them because he doesn't feel - he feels that they are the purveyors of white privilege, Bob. And, you know, he's never going to say that, but that's the theme that runs through his advisors: The white privilege has to be broken down.
...Think about what I just said. The Republican agenda in his mind, the president's mind, props up white privilege. Therefore as the social justice champion, he has to tear that down. He doesn't like the white privilege thing and he doesn't like the Republicans trying to defend it. And that's the seed.
O'Reilly tried to change the subject and move on at that point but Woodward, obviously taken aback, interrupted to disagree, saying, "It's a broader disagreement with the Republican agenda."
Of course, this is in keeping with O'Reilly's electoral/racial sour grapes.
