O'Reilly: Obama Doesn't Like GOP Because They're 'Purveyors Of White Privilege'

Posted by Ellen -459.20pc on January 21, 2013 · Flag

Bill O'Reilly carried on the Fox News tradition of race-baiting on Martin Luther King Day tonight with a twofer that included President Obama. In a discussion about today's inaugural address, O'Reilly told guest Bob Woodward that the reason Obama doesn't like Republicans is because they are the "purveyors of white privilege" and he "doesn't like the white privilege thing."

O'Reilly said:

It's pretty clear that he doesn't like them because he doesn't feel - he feels that they are the purveyors of white privilege, Bob. And, you know, he's never going to say that, but that's the theme that runs through his advisors: The white privilege has to be broken down.

...Think about what I just said. The Republican agenda in his mind, the president's mind, props up white privilege. Therefore as the social justice champion, he has to tear that down. He doesn't like the white privilege thing and he doesn't like the Republicans trying to defend it. And that's the seed.

O'Reilly tried to change the subject and move on at that point but Woodward, obviously taken aback, interrupted to disagree, saying, "It's a broader disagreement with the Republican agenda."

Of course, this is in keeping with O'Reilly's electoral/racial sour grapes.

The President is behind “all men are created equal” while Republicans are behind “white privilege”?

Say goodnight, Gracie.

@ghengis Khan: Even today, despite all the progress made since the Civil Rights movement, I could introduce you to people in the south whose only consolation in life is that they are at least one rung above the highest rung attained by any non-white.

Being, myself, “white and born into a working-poor class family” (with dirt-farmer and female added in), it is my own experience (unlike yours) that the privilege of being white is alive and well, but also that it is waning (good riddance, too".

Proof of that is precisely what Bill O’Reilly and other foxies are wont to complain about without realising that they’re actually corroborating the persistance of that belief and practice (if same can be done without being subjected to ridicule).

White and born into a working-poor class family, raised that way and remained in that socio-economic status my entire life.

I can not recall any privilege received for being white.

So, lemme get this straight, Kim… it’s not that we’re offended by O’Reilly using a white power slang to sum up his side, while baselessly saying that’s why the president “doesn’t like them”…

It’s that we have to agree or disagree with it, as thought it’s a fact. Even though you called it an opinion presenting your case.

You know why I’m offended by his choice of wording, Kim? Because he basically said a fancy version of “Obama don’t like us because he don’t know his place,” using a klansman/skinhead term (white privilege) while discussing the inauguration of a black president that happened to fall on Martin Luther King Day.

And this isn’t O’Reilly’s first offense with using wording that amounts to such points, or including supremacist terms in it. Remember when he repeatedly called Obama a threat and used terms like “the order” and “white, male power structure” in his arguments?

O’Reilly knows what he’s doing, and so does anyone who pays attention. The end.

Oh, and BTW- “My daddy was a judge” don’t mean squat. I grew up with the police, and their definition of a judge was the dumbest or most corrupt lawyer in the room. Sometimes both.

@ Lakeview Greg- Now if we could just arrange to bury him somewhere until he ossifies we’d have a true fossil on our hands. Props on the paleontolgy reference especially the K-T boundary part. The blowhard on hearing of that boundary would probably want to put a fence or guards on it to keep the immigrants out.

WTF? O’Reilly really is starting to act like a disgruntled old white guy that lost his job due to affirmative action or something. He’s coming unglued.

Last Dec. in a rant directed at sportswriter Jason Whitlock’s racial comments, BOR brought up the gay marriage issue to help make his point that he considers it to be “disgraceful tactics” for those on the left to paint those against gay marriage as civil rights violators, homophobes, haters, etc. BOR then continued on to say…

“Likewise, if in criticizing President Obama. There are fanatical left wingers who say, ‘Those who disagree with President Obama are doing so because he’s black.’ It’s a racial deal. That kind of tactic should be condemned by all Americans.”

So BOR believes that using such tactics are “disgraceful” and should be condemned yet here he is using the same race-based tactics to say that Obama disagrees with the GOP because of racial issues?! WTF? Once again it looks like BOR’s own rules regarding conduct/tactics only apply to those on the left but not to himself as he clearly operates with a double standard. Do as I say and not as I do, eh, BOR? BOR = huge hypocrite.

Despite all BOR’s blustering over the years that he is not a racist/race baiter, more and more it looks like he’s coming out as being in the same camp as Bek and so many others on the right – that BOR too thinks Obama hates white people/white culture and is a racist. Last night’s comments, his past remarks asking if Colin Powell endorsed Obama because of race, his bemoaning that white, Christian males are losing power and his quips about how if Obama wins and whites become a minority, we can kiss “traditional America” goodbye are an eye-opening look into BOR’s own bigoted/racist mindset.

To BOR and his cohorts on the right – please keep it up! You are preaching to an ever-shrinking choir and, if your intent is to make yourselves and the GOP even more irrelevant, then you’re on the right track. Obama isn’t destroying the GOP – take a look in the mirror and you’ll see who is really destroying the GOP.

And here’s some golden oldies from BOR that some may never heard about before…

Bildo will be in high dudgeon until he and Fux Noise are able to restore the White back in the White House.

@kim guy. WTF? If we disagree with POS borally we’re proving him right? And so, you’re also saying that if you agree with him, you’re proving him wrong? That’s some major spinning you’re doing there.

And you’re wrong, of course. Disagreeing with POS borally does not prove him right. I disagree with him because he’s a liar. POS borally DOES NOT have mind reading powers. He can’t possibly know what President Obama is thinking. Furthermore, President Obama has never, and I do mean never, shown, indicated, implied, written or said that he doesn’t like the GOP. President Obama has bent over backwards to try and work with the GOP only to be met with GOP hatred, GOP lies and GOP obstructionism. President Obama has invited GOP leaders to dinners and meetings, only to be turned down for lame reasons. Now, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that it’s the GOP who don’t like President Obama. POS borally is using an old trick from turdblossom rove’s playbook. Accuse your opponents of doing what you do.

Also, as Headly correctly observes, the GOP are not purveyors of white privilege, they are the protectors of it. More evidence of POS borally’s lies.

The GOP are not purveyors of White Privilege.

The GOP are PROTECTORS of White Privilege.

While on the topic, sort of, the #4 all-time favourite post on my blog is about the racism I witnessed while growing up in Detroit.

Sounds like a fancy way of repeating Glenn Beck’s statement from about four years ago when he said “It seems Obama has a deep-seated hatred for white people, or the white culture, I don’t know what it is”.

If you guys need a good laugh, check out the comments over at Fox Nation. They’re having a meltdown. I am so loving this!

@ kim guy

People post their Own Opinions (sometimes with factual support). See, if you say a poster is supporting a blanket view, well you’re saying that each & every poster is a mass-movement for such & such a view point. Think about it.

do you realize that you are proving him right? you agree with Bill O’Reilly. the Democrats think the GOP are purveyors of white privilege. apparently that’s what you believe. think about it.

Killer O’Reilly if Mitt were POTUS

It’s obvious Pres. Mitt understands the special needs & perks that are rightly the domain & entitlement of all who are White & Uber-Rich! To the 47%ers I say Fuck You! To the rest of you I say – SUCKERS!

Act like insufferable dicks forever and then suddenly burst into tears when people don’t like you? Suck it.

well he’s allowed to have his opinion, just like everybody is allowed to have theirs. the First Amendment says nothing about you have to be right if you give a thought or opinion. my dad was a judge, he said there’s 2 sides to every story and somewhere in the middle is the truth. I’ve learned to listen to all points of view before I come to a conclusion. my dad said the other day, the art of logical debate and compromise is very rare in this day in age. there’s room in America for everybody’s opinion. I hope we can get back to compromise and stop shredding each other. we are all human beings and we all make mistakes. not a single 1 of us is perfect. peace! oh and by the way, if you’re disagreeing with Bill O’Reilly, do you realize that you are saying that the GOP is not just for the white rich man. I think about it. peace!

Well, Beck isn’t around to call Obama a racist right after he got elected… so why not get his BFF to do it?

Countdown to the boycott begins now. Place your bets on how close he comes to Beck’s record.
