Bill O’Reilly was so desperate to shoot down health care reform that he tied himself into a ridiculous knot he could not untie last night. It started when Alan Colmes challenged O’Reilly’s assertion that the government is not good at running anything. “Can they run the military?” Colmes asked.
Ironically, O’Reilly prefaced the subject by saying, “When you have these debates, you’ve gotta be reasonable about it, Colmes.” Then, moments later, O’Reilly made his completely unreasonable statements.
You know I tried to find if he actually got a deferment but I can’t find any record. It’s almost like he did disappear. But you know Billo would NEVER himself use an ENTITLEMENT like a deferment. Those are for socialists.
“â¦Oh, that,s right. According to his books he didnât exist during the VâNam era. My bad.”
That’s because his well-off and well-connected father (the late William O’Reilly Sr.) was hiding him from the U.S. draft boards via college deferments: Marist College, Queen Mary College at the University of London, and Boston University.
Explain this Billy
Social Security, Medicare, National Institute for Health Center for Disease Control, the Interstate Highway System, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the GI Bill, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Bonneville Power Administration, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
By contrast, a partial list of private corporations that have been abysmally managed include Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Bank of America, Countrywide Financial, Washington Mutual, American Airlines, General Motors, Kodak and Polaroid.
As usual, Bildo doesn’t know his facts from his splotchy ass.
Truth is the military can’t even pass an audit. Their accounting is so screwed up the only thing they can do is rebuild the balance sheet based on what they can count then go from there.
I think a better example would be the post office. The only thing messing them up now is congress!
