Tonight is the New York primary for both Democrats and Republicans. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump will probably win but the question is by how much? Will Trump win big enough to clinch his nomination? Will Clinton win big enough to claim she has stopped Sanders' momentum?
TheWrap reports:
Trump — who’s been struggling to reshape his staff amid recent delegate losses in Wyoming, Colorado, Georgia, Virginia and South Carolina — needs New York more than ever. A simple win is not enough. Trump needs a clean sweep (or at least win a majority of the state’s 95 delegates) to prove he can clinch the GOP nomination ahead of July’s convention in Cleveland.
To do that, he’ll have to capture more than 50 percent of the vote in each of the state’s 27 congressional districts. Anything less than 50 percent, and he’ll have to split delegates 2-1 with the runner-up.
As for Clinton:
While Clinton is leading Sanders in the delegate count by a wide margin, the senator from Vermont has won the last seven contests. Another win — and in Clinton’s adopted home state, no less — could persuade some superdelegates to jump ship.
Just in case there's any doubt for whom Fox News is rooting, Sean Hannity will broadcast his coverage right from Trump Tower.
Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the delegate system put in place at a time when the vast majority of voters practically never left their areas? At that time, it would have been totally unrealistic to expect them to know much about the greater world, let alone know much about the candidates. The system allowed them to select someone from within a local body of slightly more worldly people who could be trusted to represent them at the convention.
There’s no denying that the system has become obsolete because times they have definitely changed. With few exceptions the most remote corners of the world have had access to radio, TV and … dulcis in fondo … the mighty internet for several decades. They should – in theory – be able to make up their own minds.
I realise that Trump perceives the world as revolving around him but this sort of victimism is not presidential at all, not even professional. More like a spoiled 3 year old.
Yeah, fair and balanced works like that. ;^)
The GOP Civil War with Trumpster is taking down everyone in the RNC and conservative movement: Levin, Hannocchio and is girlfriend, Annie, Billy, Red State, Actor Glenn Beck, and others.
Cruz supporters are livid about Hanncchio’s treatment of Cruz on his radio show. Many long-time listeners and viewers have stopped listening and watching Hannocchio’s show.
The Stop Hannity Express has been busy warning the anti-Trumpsters about the close friendship between Grandpa Hannocchio and Trumpster.
The Express says Hannocchio will suffer more viewer and ratings loss as the anti-Trumpsters learn the truth about this old hack.
Hannocchio is a self-serving man who is only concerned about his broadcasting career, or should we say what’s left of it. Look at the man. He has aged very badly due to his constant lies and questionable history throughout his career. He looks 10 years older. He’s also put on a few pounds which is hidden by his 2x size coat.
Coming down the pipe:
1. Revenge at Fox “News.”
2. Exodus at Fox “News.”
3. Nixon Trainee Ailes in big trouble.
4. Hannocchio makes a big announcement.
As I understand it, though the number of delegates won – which is what’s important – is still up in the air.
Oh, and Ted “New York values” Cruz came in third!
