Rupert Murdoch joined the exploitation of the France terrorism attacks by lecturing “Moslems” in a tweet two days ago. Today, author J.K. Rowling gave the best response imaginable.
As Gawker reminded us, it was just a few weeks ago that Murdoch stepped in it when he defended the all-white cast of Exodus by tweeting, “Since when are Egyptians not white? All I know are.”
Now, echoing Fox News, Murdoch is using tragedy in France to attack Muslims and those who don’t want to scapegoat an entire religion:
The Guardian reported that there was quite a bit of backlash, including one tweeted response, “In the same way that you must be held responsible for ordering the hacking of the voicemails of dead school children?”
But it’s hard to think of better responses than from Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. First this:
