Yesterday was The Kelly File’s one year anniversary. So Megyn Kelly put together a retrospective of the show’s first year. But despite all the big moments she included, she somehow left out any coverage of the shooting of Michael Brown and the Ferguson protests. Guess what else she left out?
In fact, Kelly devoted a significant amount of time to covering Ferguson. But it’s not a huge surprise that she should snub this event as Kelly has a long record of antipathy toward African Americans and other minorities.
And speaking of Kelly’s racial and ethnic antipathy, the other big event left out of the highlight reel was the controversy that erupted after Kelly reassured “all you kids watching at home” that Santa and Jesus are white.
Of course, she included clips of her grandstanding with Bill Ayers and Ward Churchill and clips of her telling both Jay Leno and Seth Meyers, that she's a "straight down the middle" host.
There's every reason to expect all the same “fairness and balance” from The Kelly File in the coming year.
Even Megyn Kelly, who acknowledged Bundy didn’t have a legal “leg to stand on,” repeatedly downplayed her own criticisms in favor of guests who painted Bundy as emblematic of “the American spirit.” She also introduced a discussion with a Bundy supporter by saying, “”For so many, this fight had little to do with animals; but everything to do with freedom.”
