Donald Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson called Hillary Clinton supporter Robert Zimmerman, “George” again last night. As in George Zimmerman. And when Robert Zimmerman called her on it, host Megyn Kelly came up with a bogus excuse for Pierson.
Last week, I noted that Pierson repeatedly called Robert Zimmerman “George” in a prior discussion on The Kelly File. “Which shows what kind of people are on her wavelength,” I wrote then.
Last night, in the middle of another Kelly File discussion, this one a debate about the upcoming election, Pierson did it again. This time Zimmerman shot back, “It’s Robert. You’ve got a fixation on George Zimmerman, which says something else.” That was at about 3:08 in the segment, which was only about the standings of Clinton and Trump at that point.
Zimmerman followed up by pointing out that Republicans such as George H.W. Bush are supporting Clinton “because they regard Trump as reckless, dangerous and an incompetent neophyte.” Bush had not been brought up before then.
But near the end of the interview, nearly a full minute and a half later, Kelly cut off Zimmerman to defend Pierson. “See, she was thinking of George H.W. Bush, Robert. She wasn’t thinking of George Zimmerman.”
Sure she was. Before anyone else mentioned Bush. And she must have been clairvoyant when she repeatedly called Robert Zimmerman “George” when they were discussing Trump’s birtherism which had nothing whatsoever to do with Bush.
Zimmerman started to say something but Kelly cut him off again and ended the segment.
