I'm hardly a fan of Bernard McGuirk but I absolutely loved his put down of the Kardashian family. Starting with Mom and O.J. Simpson crony Kris Jenner and moving on to "sex tape" Kim Kardashian, he hit every note about what's wrong with this abominable American family. So not only did he support President Obama's comments about Kim Kardashian, McGuirk picked up the ball, ran with it - and scored a touchdown.
You may recall that President Obama recently criticized Kim Kardashian's brand of wealth as having a negative effect on American youth. So Mama Kris Jenner hit back, ridiculously claiming that Kim Kardashian is "the hardest-working young lady in the world" and that her family is the embodiment of the American Dream. But Mama Kris also took some shots at Obama on her talk show, supposedly for being a hypocrite, so naturally Fox News wanted to highlight those comments.
Fortunately for us, McGuirk put aside partisanship for no-holds-barred candor:
First of all, I would rather watch a talk show hosted by the San Diego mayor than watch it by this revolting woman. ...Her and her family, they're the consummate ugly Americans. If you Google the words, "why they hate us," their pictures show up. Her and that freaky, Frankenstein-looking husband of hers. ...She was talking about the American Dream. They haven't lived the American Dream. She became, first came into the public eye because of her association with O.J. Simpson and that circus, through her (late) husband. ...And then the daughter because of a sex tape. That's why they're famous. Not because of some American Dream. They never worked an honest day in their lives.
While the other guest, Greg Gutfeld, made some kind of snarky defense of the family, O'Reilly shut it down:
I agree with President Obama. The values that these two espouse are foolish and children should not look up to them in any way, shape or form.
Couldn't have said it better myself, guys. And in case anyone thinks I never have a good word to say about Fox News - well, here's proof otherwise.
