Fox News’ Hispanophobe and birther, Lou Dobbs, came up with a ridiculous conspiracy theory that President Obama is deliberately orchestrating the overwhelming influx of immigrant children. Any responsible news organization would have fired him on the spot. But on Fox News, where even host Bill O’Reilly found the notion farfetched, you can rest assured Dobbs will suffer no ill consequences. In fact, O’Reilly closed the discussion by calling Dobbs’ thesis “provocative” and promising to examine it further.
Dobbs told O’Reilly that it’s not just the cartels and human smugglers behind the surge of unaccompanied children illegally crossing our border and inundating our resources, but part of some grand plan of Obama’s, worked out in cahoots with Mexican and Central American governments:
I think we have to be careful… This is not simply the cartels, the human smugglers. This looks to be – the administration has been accused of orchestrating this in coordination with the government of Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador…
O’Reilly interrupted. “Wait a minute! Are you charging the Obama administration with actually wanting this to happen?”
“Oh, I think there’s no doubt about it,” Dobbs told him.
I found it telling that O’Reilly’s big doubt was as to the strategic value of this “plot” for the Obama administration. As opposed to smacking it down because the Obama administration would not likely engage in such an duplicitous and probably criminal enterprise. He said, “Really? Why would they want this to happen? This kills comprehensive immigration reform. It kills it!”
Dobbs seemed to think that Obama figured this was a way to distract our border patrols and get all those immigrants he supposedly wants – but has been denied due to the failure of immigration reform. Or maybe it’s the latest step in Obama’s plan – touted previously by Dobbs in 2010 – to use the border to blackmail Republicans into going forward with comprehensive immigration reform. Dobbs said, “What is happening is, that this is taking US border patrol agents, moving them from (away from the border). They’re now nursing children and babies. …”
Dobbs further “explained”:
… I think what you’re watching is a community organizer playing hemispheric politics. I believe that there is an absolute league amongst the governments of El Salvador, of Guatemala, of Honduras, and the government of Mexico. We’re talking about children who are being moved and the national liberal media isn’t pointing this out. They’re being moved from 1800 miles away, All the way through the center of Mexico to our Southern border.
O’Reilly closed by saying, “Your thesis is very provocative and we’ll take a look at it.”

In fact, were we to swallow their frightened babblings, we, too, would start to talk of him as being some sort of omniscent, omnipresent, omni-everthing presence. But all that is nothing more than babbling aka throwing s**t on the wall hoping that some of it will stick.
It’s not the LW but the RW who look upon the President of the USA as some sort of transcendental power. I’m amazed, actually, that they’ve not yet accused him of being an alien from outer space.
