Ruh-roh! I reported earlier that Steve Doocy and the Fox & Friends graphics department embraced the Chevy Volt this morning as if they had loved the car all along. But it looks as though Fox Nation didn't get the memo. Its top "fired up" story is now More Problems For The Chevy Volt. Even worse, Fox Nation is reiterating talking points that were debunked just a few hours earlier on Fox News.
Fox & Friends guest Lee Spieckerman told an agreeable Steve Doocy , that it is a “myth” the Obama administration “forced” the Volt on GM, that there was a tax break implemented by the Bush administration."
Doocy, the co-host of Fox & Friends, replied, “I’m glad you brought up the myth that so many people think that (Obama) shoved this down GM’s throat. It had been in development for at least two years.”
Doocy and Spieckerman went on to chat up the benefits of the Volt. Doocy called it "a cool car."
Somebody needs to let Jesse Watters, editor of Fox Nation, know that the slant has changed. The latest Fox Nation post begins: The Official Car Of The Obama Admin Continues To Dazzle: GM Tells Volt Owners They Need New Charging Cord…
All blame goes to Nixon-trainee Roger Ailes. The staff he hires are incompetent and uneducated.
