If anybody thinks that Fox News has moderated, then look to the continued presence of Liz Cheney, Republican operative disguised as a “political analyst” - oh, and likely Republican candidate in 2014. Cheney's only “analysis” seems to consist of painting President Obama as a traitor. Last night, she did it again on the Hannity show, saying, “He’s been very clear, he wants to weaken the United States, he wants to diminish our power in the world. He doesn’t believe the United States should be the preeminent power in the world.”
If this sounds familiar, it should. Last summer, Cheney said: “While you’ve got this surge of extremism happening across the Arab world, simultaneously, you’ve got the United States pulling back. And we have a president who I believe for the first time, at least in modern history, has had as his objective leaving American weaker than when he took office.”
Just a month ago, Cheney accused Obama of doing what “America’s enemies” couldn’t: “decimate [our] fighting capability.”
Last September, she declared, “(Obama) does not believe that America should be ascendant in the world.”
Also last month, Cheney said, “…I would really like to see a president, frankly, who’s as dedicated to disarming Al Qaeda as President Obama seems to be to disarming law-abiding American citizens, frankly…”
This from the woman whose father is acknowledged to be largely responsible for the misbegotten Iraq war yet remains defiantly unapologetic.
We can understand a daughter’s loyalty to her father but what’s Fox’s excuse? In July, 2010, Daddy Cheney had a 36% favorability and that was after he had been out of office for more than a year. That was up from the 13% when he left office but still not exactly the kind of numbers you want to crow about. Meanwhile, President Obama’s ratings are about 20 points higher.
You’d think that if an in-house pundit/daughter of a former VP regularly accused our current president of treason that would be big news on a news network. Maybe spark some kind of actual investigation into whether her allegations are true. But not on Fox. Liz Cheney’s tree is falling in the kind of forest where the noise is getting drowned out. Traitor? Does that get filed under Not American? Secret Muslim? Socialist? Racist? Or should it get a hashtag of its own?
In short, everything about Liz Cheney and her retread “analysis” is so Hannity/Fox News 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. No wonder they’re hemorrhaging viewers. Even Fox News producers tacitly acknowledge there’s nothing to see here as this video isn’t even included in the highlighted videos from last night’s Hannity:

“Count Iraq-ula”
May I use it, too, Gar Colga?
The only reason his favorability ratings were that high is that, when the numbers were broken down, 14% knew he was still alive and still viewed him favorably while 21% thought he was dead so they didn’t see any reason to not view him favorably and 1% were drunk fratguys who thought they were being asked a question about their genitals.
“Lizard Liz obviously inherited her Daddy Dickhead’s hatemonger and warmonger genes.”
And she’ll naturally INHERIT A LOT OF HIS $$$$ when he croaks.
’Nuff said.
Historians will rate the Dumbya/Darth Cheney misadministration as one on the worst ever. Two unending trillion-dollar Muslim wars (at least one of which was completely unnecessary), massive tax cuts for the wealthy, massive job losses for the middle class and a massive screwing of the poor.
