I can tell by the enthusiasm in the Fox News hosts that it's looking good for the GOP tonight.
8:32 Fox interrupted Mitch McConnell's victory speech to announce Republican Tom Cotton's victory over Mark Pryor in Arkansas.
8:35 McConnell talking up bipartisanship, but he's the one who refused to cooperate with President Obama. Not that anyone on Fox will remind the viewers of that flip flop.
8:38 Despite the beans they've already spilled, Fox has access to lots more exit polls they're not revealing. So they're upbeat attitudes are not a good sign for the rest of us.
8:44 ABC News projecting Shaheen wins in NH. #DespiteFox'sBestEfforts
8:45 As LOLGOP wrote, Scott Brown now wins the chance to move to a new state.
8:50 Fox just called NH gubernatorial race for Democrat, but not the senate.
9:00 Fox called South Dakota for Republican Mike Rounds.
9:00 Sorry, Bill. Al Franke just won Minnesota.
9:01 Fox reported Democrat Gary Peters won the Senate seat in Michigan.
9:02 I still haven't heard Fox call NH for Shaheen.
9:03 Wendy Davis has lost to Republican Greg Abbott in Texas governor race.
9:38 Fox finally called New Hampshire for Shaheen.
9:38 Fox says Louisiana will go to a runoff.
9:54 Fox called Colorado for Gardner (GOP now up 4 out of 6)
10:06 Fox saying NC still too close to call.
10:21 Fox just called Wisconsin governor race for Scott Walker.
10:21 I just saw on my Twitter feed that Rick "no fans allowed" Scott just won re-election in Florida. #SayWhat?
10:25 Fox's Howard Kurtz just tweeted, "Newly (re)elected OH Gov John Kasich, once a Fox contributor, jokes with Megyn that he'd like to come back & fill in for O'Reilly." I retweeted with the comment, "Fox & GOP one big happy family."
10:32 Bret Baier just asked House Leader McCarthy what GOP will do with the Senate and empowered House. Meaning, he’s assuming GOP takes Senate.
10:36 Baier just said that the next 15 minutes will be exciting, depending on your political persuasion. As if we don't know what makes him excited.
10:47 Fox just called Kansas senate for Republican Roberts. I think McConnell will now be the Senate leader. #GodHelpUs
10:50 Scott Brown not conceding NH. Maybe Megyn Kelly will move her voter fraud concerns to that state.
10:59 David Perdue wins GA senate. No runoff.
11:00 Nate Silver says Kay Hagen is in trouble in NC.
11:01 Jerry Brown "will cruise" to re-election as CA governor.
11:01 Nathan Deal beat Jason Carter for GA governor. No runoff.
11:04 Charles Krauthammer just said, “It’s the end of the war on women and Democrats have lost it.”
11:22 Watching Reince Priebus on The Daily Show. #INeedSomeLaughs
11:24 Fox predicts Joni Ernst wins. GOP gains control of Senate.
11:26 Thom Tillis beats Democrat Kay Hagan in NC
11:34 I just tweeted, ".@FoxNews, @BretBaier @megynkelly Why don’t you just break out the champagne? It’s not like the world doesn’t see your GOP joy."
12:20 Fox broke out chocolate almonds. I guess champagne would be too obvious.
12:21 Ted Cruz on Fox: "It is incumbent on us to stand up and lead. ...The way to earn that trust (of the people) is to listen" And shut down the government.
12:23 Ted Cruz "to keep the trust" of Americans, "we should repeal ObamaCare."
12:25 Cruz talking about taking legal action and "oversight" of Obama administration. Or in other words, impeachment.
12:31 Maryland just elected a Republican governor, rejecting their Democratic lt. gov. Baier called that "shocking." Of course, he meant shockingly good.
12:34 Republican Sam Brownback just won re-election as governor.
1:01 Isn't it funny how Fox News didn't utter a peep about voter fraud tonight?
1:27 And now Democrat Begich has lost his Senate race in Alaska. GOP up 8.
I was up through the wee hours watching the election returns last night and did not have a chance to check out F&F, myself.
Yeah, like Daddy Douchey of the “fair & balanced” FOX “news” said, “And he is today waking up looking for work.” Oh wait, that’s what Doocy said about the Democratic Mark Pryor (AR). Regarding Brown’s loss, no snarky “looking for work” remarks were directed towards him.
Btw, did anyone notice that in the 1st hour of F&F Doocy incorrectly reported that the Republican, Terri Land, had won the Senate seat in Michigan? In reality, the Democratic candidate, Peters, won by 14%. The on-screen graphic even showed that Peters won 55% of the vote to Land’s 41%. You could tell that Doocy noticed his mistake but he didn’t correct it by saying that Peters had actually won the Senate seat – rather Doocy stuttered out something about you can see that Peters is in the lead. WTF? Peters isn’t in the lead – HE WON but, for some reason, Doocy couldn’t bring himself to actually say so.
I watched in the other 2 hours to see if Doocy corrected the record but, oddly, that particular Senate race was never mentioned again nor were any screen graphics put up for the viewers to see (despite the fact that they were showing graphics for all the other races). It was like the results for the Michigan Senate seat had just disappeared. It strikes me as very strange and dishonest that, after that 1st hour, they completely removed the Michigan Senate race from their graphics lineup/curvy couch discussion. Weird.
@steve St John – McConnell did indeed say that the voters were “hungry for new leadership” and I immediately thought the same thing you did. Then I went and banged my head on the wall for awhile. Geez.
BTW, just because I can’t point this out enough? McConnell proved exactly how stupid and uninformed he is by saying that he’ll repeal Obamacare, but keep his state’s Obamacare exchange- Without an alternative to run the exchange on. That’s the best example of what kind of mind-numbing retardation we’re in for.
I suspect Obama’s veto totals are going to rise considerably in the next 2 years.
