Karl Rove: It's "Stupid" To Dredge Up Rev. Wright Again: Donald Trump Says, "Go At It"

Karl Rove was on the Fox News Sunday panel yesterday, where he was unequivocally opposed to Republicans using Rev. Wright to attack President Obama again. But today, Fox's golden-haired birther boy, Donald Trump, said the Romney campaign should "go after Obama" on the subject. Is this the start of a (new) GOP/Fox News Civil War?

Rove told the Fox News Sunday panel:

“Trying to dredge up Jeremiah Wright, right or wrong, after this issue was litigated four years ago by John McCain deciding not to litigate it, was stupid. And so, you want to try and do things that are helpful, not hurtful.”

It's worth noting that Rove spoke more strongly against rehashing Wright than "Democratic strategist" Joe Trippi did.

But Trump, a top Romney surrogate, told Fox & Friends,

If It's going to be game on, let it be game on. Go after Obama.

It's no real surprise that Trump - who has persitently made racially-tinged attacks on Obama - would want to use this racially-tinged attack, too.

So will Fox hosts Sean Hannity and Kimberly Guilfoyle - who last week agreed with discredited birther Trump - continue to use Rev. Wright to attack Obama? Or will they go along with mainstream GOP-mastermind Rove?

Since today it’s that oldie but goodie Rev. Wright, does this mean soon we’ll be hearing Sean screaming startling new allegations involving President Obama association with William Ayers have emerged.

I smell birther ads coming from Crossroads Karl. Of course, Karl will deny responsibiliy and claim that the ads aren’t political anyway.

Turdblossom knows that if the neocon pigs use Rev. Wright to attack President Obama, the democrats are going to take a page directly out of Turdblossom’s very own playbook and use Etch-a-Sketch Rmoney’s Mormon cult religion against him.

Etch-A-Sketch won’t dirty his well-manicured fingers by slinging vile, race-baiting filth. However, his surrogates like The Combover and his Super PACs like the Kochsucker Brothers will gladly shovel it for him. And of course Fux Noise, particularly KKKlannity, will regurgitate it all 24/7 until November.

It’s stupid to Karl only because Mr. Richy Rich is a Mormon. A discussion about Rev. Wright might lead to an examination on that Mormon cult. We wouldn’t want that.
