Fox Ignores FAA Shutdown While Attacking Obama’s Birthday Party
If you only watched Fox News during prime time last night, you could be forgiven for not knowing that Republican intransigence caused Congress to recess for a month without funding the Federal Aviation Administration – thereby furloughing and laying off thousands of workers, halting construction projects and causing safety workers remaining on the job to do so without pay. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has asked Congress to "End your vacation for a couple days, get off the beach, get out of your mobile homes or whatever you are traveling in, get back to Washington… and pass a bill." Surely this story has everything a news network could love – unless you’re the kind of news network that’s more interested in promoting an anti-Democratic/pro-Republican agenda. Fox News Replaces Glenn Beck With “The Five”
It takes a village to replace Glenn Beck, or so it seems. “The Five” is to be a panel show with a rotating group of pundits, yabbering around the news, or as Fox “News” puts it, according to a press release:

Juan Williams Pushes Back On Fox News’ Torture-A-Go-Go Over Bin Laden’s death
As I’ve said before, Juan Williams can be an excellent advocate for liberal or progressive stances on Fox News when he wants to be. Yesterday (5/8/11), on Fox News Sunday, Williams did a terrific job pushing back on the It-was-really-President-Bush-And-Waterboarding-that-got-Bin-Laden meme that has been all over the “fair and balanced” network lately.

Fox News Rehabilitates Andrew Breitbart, Allows Him To Posture As A Uniter Not A Divider
If Fox News thinks Andrew Breitbart is a legitimate pundit, then they ought to give Dan Rather his own prime time show pronto. Breitbart, you may recall, promoted, vouched for and lied about the deceptively edited ACORN videos. He also promoted the deceptively-edited Shirley Sherrod video and then recently misrepresented what he had said about it on his own website. Breitbart was also disinvited from ABC News’ election night coverage last fall for overstating his role in their coverage. Furthermore, Breitbart also boasts about his hostility toward liberals. But Breitbart was welcomed as a legitimate pundit for the leadoff “Top Story” segment on The O’Reilly Factor last night (4/22/11) and given a pass both on his questionable history and his ludicrous claim that he worries about divisiveness in our country.
