Glenn Beck’s Frog Boiling Stunt Proves He’s A Fraud
With all the media attention over Glenn Beck’s “boiling frog” stunt last week, I’m surprised that we're the only ones who seem to have taken notice of Beck's cavalier admission that he deliberately deceived his audience into thinking he had thrown a frog into boiling water. One day after the stunt, Beck revealed how he had edited pre-recorded video to make it appear that he had picked up a live frog before pretending to throw it into boiling water. He seemed to have no compunction about this flimflam on a news show nor about having lied to his audience when he swore that he thought the frog would jump out. Beck had told his viewers that the frog was a fake soon after the stunt but it wasn’t until the next day, in reaction to several bloggers accusing him of having actually killed the frog, that he detailed the particulars of his deceit. Had nobody questioned whether or not a frog had really been killed, we would likely never have known the lengths to which he had gone to fool his audience. With video.

Glenn Beck Pretends To Throw A Frog Into Boiling Water
During his television show yesterday (9/23/09), Glenn Beck pretended to throw a frog into boiling water as part of a theatrical stunt designed to answer his critics who were unhappy with his statement to Katie Couric that John McCain may have been “worse for the country” than Barack Obama. That Beck would even entertain such a stunt was distasteful enough. But the fact that he swore in his most sincere voice that he thought a frog would jump out showed just what kind of disingenuous huckster Beck really is. With video.

Bernard Goldberg Tells Hannity: Republicans Need A Conservative Barack Obama
Bernard Goldberg sat down with Sean Hannity last night (5/5/09) to discuss whether or not the GOP needs to become more conservative or more moderate. Hannity, not surprisingly, thought more conservatism was the answer. Goldberg laid some candor and pragmatism on him. If Americans love conservatism so much, Goldberg reasoned, why was there only one conservative president (Reagan) in the last 75 years? Hannity couldn't answer that. Goldberg continued by saying that even if John McCain had adopted every single item of a conservative agenda, he still would have lost. What conservatives need, Goldberg told a deflated Hannity, “They need a conservative Barack Obama.” Very enjoyable! Video after the jump.

Hannity Aids And Abets Fiction About McCain's Role In AIG Bailout
As Media Matters has reported, Senator John McCain was against the AIG bailout before he was for it and then against it again. But on last night's (3/17/09) Hannity, Sean Hannity ignored that history as he introduced McCain as, “a man who has been against the AIG bailout since the very beginning.” This came moments after Hannity's unfair, unbalanced assessment of Sen. Chris Dodd's role. With video.

FOX News Edits Clip Misleadingly To Smear Biden
Think Progress reports that in its enthusiasm to smear the Obama administration, FOX News misleadingly edited a clip of then-Vice Presidential candidate Joseph Biden quoting John McCain saying the "fundamentals of the economy are strong" and presented it as "proof" that Biden currently holds that view. Think Progress noted, "Apparently, dishonestly rewriting history is perfectly acceptable at Fox now." UPDATED: 3/17/09 FOX's Martha MacCallum apologizes for "inadvertent" error. But it's hard to imagine how this could happen unless FOX News was deliberately trying to denigrate Biden.
