GOP Civil War: Hannity Vs. McCain!
Sean Hannity just can’t take it unless every Republican attacks every Democratic at every opportunity. But underneath Hannity’s displeasure with what he saw as John McCain’s attacks on the Tea Party for letting the perfect be an enemy of the good was a real difference of philosophy. I thought McCain held his own pretty well. The question is, how many more like him are in the GOP?

Is Fox News Ignoring John McCain's Statements On Torture And The Death Of Bin Laden?
You can barely turn on Fox News lately without hearing about the importance of waterboarding and "enhanced interrogations" to our national security. That is until the invitation of rapper Common to the White House became the nation's most important issue. But before that, on The O'Reilly Factor, contributor Dennis Miller said it was immoral NOT TO waterboard - with O'Reilly's evident approval. Plus, there was Donald Rumsfeld saying on the air it was a good thing Osama Bin Laden was killed because the Obama administration's prohibition against "enhanced interrogations" "would be unlikely to produce much intelligence from Osama Bin Laden." But yeserday, Sen. John McCain - a man with personal and professional authority on the issue - spoke out against the process and its use in the hunt for Bin Laden and I didn't hear a peep about it on the "fair and balanced" network.

Sean Hannity Suggests President Obama Is In Bed With Muslim Extremists
Don’t tell me that bigots’ BFF Sean Hannity didn’t know exactly what he was doing last night (2/1/11) when he not only continued his baseless fear mongering about Islamic extremism taking over Egypt and the Middle East but now suggested that President Obama was at least tacitly co-operating with their efforts. And don’t tell me that Senator John McCain didn’t know what Hannity was up to but let it slide in favor of promoting a broader anti-Islamic sentiment.

Fox News’ “Analyst” Sarah Palin Campaigns For John McCain On Fox News
Friday’s (3/26/10) On The Record devoted three entire segments (and promised a fourth, but I turned off the TV) to Sarah Palin campaigning for John McCain earlier in the day. We saw excerpts of her speech on his behalf, two segments with the former running mates being interviewed together and a third segment with just Palin, seated in front of a McCain campaign backdrop. In that segment, nearly ever answer she gave host Greta Van Susteren was a plug for McCain. And since her lips were moving, it was not surprising to catch her in at least one falsehood. But the entire set up could not have been a more blatant attempt at advocacy than if Van Susteren herself had showed up wearing a McCain campaign pin. With video.

On last night's (3/26/10) On the Record with Greta van Susteren, "McCain and Palin Reunite, Part II," former (losing) pres and veep duo, John McCain and Sarah Palin, appeared on the show to, well, I think they were there to talk about Palin's assistance in campaigning for McCain in the "toughest primary campaign of his career" against Republican JD Hayworth. But a funny thing happened on the way to the interview to talk about McCain's re-election campaign -- they almost forgot to talk about McCain's re-election campaign. Bashing the Obama Administration got the front page. With video.
