Jim Carrey had some choice words for Fox News after it spent much of this week smearing him over his Funny or Die video mocking the NRA and Charlton Heston. Warning: Some of it may not be safe for work in that he switched the "o" in "Fox" for a "u." But here's an excerpt: In my opinion F** News is a last resort for kinda-sorta-almost-journalists whose options have been severely limited by their extreme and intolerant views; a media colostomy bag that has begun to burst at the seams and should be emptied before it becomes a public health issue.
Carrey's statement (via Mediaite):
Since I released my “Cold Dead Hand” video on Funny or Die this week, I have watched Fux News rant, rave, bare its fangs and viciously slander me because of my stand against large magazines and assault rifles. I would take them to task legally if I felt they were worth my time or that anyone with a brain in their head could actually fall for such irresponsible buffoonery. That would gain them far too much attention which is all they really care about.
I’ll just say this: in my opinion Fux News is a last resort for kinda-sorta-almost-journalists whose options have been severely limited by their extreme and intolerant views; a media colostomy bag that has begun to burst at the seams and should be emptied before it becomes a public health issue.
I sincerely believe that in time, good people will lose patience with the petty and poisonous behavior of these bullies and Fux News will be remembered as nothing more than a giant culture fart that no amount of Garlique could cure.
I wish them all the luck that accompanies such malevolence.
As we previously reported, Fox's Greg Gutfeld let forth with a hideous stream of invective against Carrey, saying he is "the most pathetic tool on the face of the earth. And I hope his career is dead and he ends up sleeping in a car." Gutfeld also said Carrey “has killed more people than all the rifles combined... Such a pathetic, sad, little freak. He is a jibberring mess."
Take that, Fox!
It’s obvious the main issue at hand is that of hypocrisy, in that a network that has no response to, much less denunciation of, vile remarks against dead people coming from their own corner, has no moral high ground to stand on. Pretending that they do makes them hypocrites, and hypocrites are detestable.
And here you are, defending hypocrisy for no other reason than that it comes from your cherished propaganda network. Talk about pathetic…
Obviously, I love News Hounds!
Q) What do George Tiller, Michael Jackson, Robert Byrd, Ted Kennedy and Hugo Chavez all have in common?
A) When they died, Fox Nation not only celebrated their death, but started making lists of who they wanted to see go next. Regardless of how the network itself handled the story.
“NOTE TO GUTFIELD
Stay away from comedy. Leave it up to the pros. If Ailes fires you, try the circus. They could use more clowns like you. "
ROTFLMAO!
Dear Antoinette: You nearly made me spew my morning coffee all over my computer screen!
:^)
Gutfeld knows he’s poison, and may very well lead “The Five” down the same road Hannity and Greata are on. If you ask me, this is just ratings whoring to prolong his visit to Ailes’ office.
Gutfeld is perhaps jealous of Carrey’s successful career in television and films. Carrey makes more money than this Ailes’ tool.
Look at Gutfield’s appearance. His attire on television is unprofessional. Surely, Ailes can afford to hire a stylist for this bum, or give him pointers on how to dress like a real man.
Gutfield thinks he is funny. A third grader can do a better commentary than Gutfield. Grumpy the Cat can do better job than Gutfield.
