Jesus Is O’Reilly’s Messenger Of Malice

Posted by Ellen -394pc on November 29, 2012 · Flag

Bill O’Reilly is really losing it over Gov. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island. Two nights ago, O'Reilly was so infuriated over Chafee’s supposed war on Christmas, i.e. his failure to make it Christ-y enough, that O'Reilly spitefully instructed his viewers to send Christmas cards with pictures of Jesus to the Rhode Island statehouse. Yeah, that really puts the Christ back in Christmas, eh?

At the end of one of his many discussions about Chafee's Christmas culpability, O’Reilly said:

Now what I want to do is, I want to encourage everyone across the country to send Governor Lincoln Chafee a Christmas card with Jesus on it, OK? …I want everybody, everybody watching all over the world, not just in America, OK? Send it to the Statehouse, Providence, Rhode Island - a Christmas card, Governor Lincoln Chafee, with Jesus on it. OK? Nice sentiment! Just nice, “peace be with you, Governor,” “peace on earth.”

O’Reilly had a big grin as he talked about using Jesus to deliberately harass someone with whom he disagrees. Ho, ho, ho!

By the way, Chafee will be on The O’Reilly Factor tonight.

Sandman…I understand being offended…I cant help what offends me… I was actually not looking for this site…just Fox News…but ended up here somehow via google. I registered thinking it was a Fox News site… then the headlines I saw caught my attention… I started reading some of the comments and became sad … this site does offend me… so when something offends me.. I should not participate…. Forgive me if I have offended any of you…
To bemused…I know there are many who confess to be Christians…and it’s a shame to carry Christ’s name if you cannot back it with your willful actions…Real Christians do not carry the term loosly if they know what it’s cost….
Yes…Christmas is now so commercialized that the true meaning is lost …
Times are changing…but God never does…
Goodbye to all of you… I wish you well …;)

With all do respect, I’d love Christmas if only it were not completely de-natured by $$$$$$$ What really puts me off during the season of love, peace and good feelings is the constant cackle of haters and liars who call themselves christians. I sincerely doubt that Jesus would agree.

A book recommendation for Heather Mills: “Stranger in a strange land” by Heinlein is a great book for followers of Christ.

So I shouldn’t be offended by O’Reilly and his constant Lying and misleading practice of journalism; I should be offended by those who try to correct the record and point out to the uninformed what the actual truth and facts really are?

I don’t think about my “lack” of faith when I’m putting up the christmas tree, lights, and decorations at my Mother’s. Buying gifts, eating dinner, and spending time with loved ones is what I enjoy about the Holiday Season, not the blind worship of some philisophical(O’Reilly’s word) historical figure.

With all do respect.

Oh, deer.

I do not speak for NewsHounds.
I have no interest, no participation, and no association with NewsHounds.

It doesn’t take a day in kindergarten to expose the wingnut BS the Fox gNOpig Propaganda spews.

Read it again.

If the Fox gNOpig Propaganda Network actually delivered FAIR AND BALANCED news we couldn’t complain about them.

Even their so called “hard News” are packed with wingnut BS.

THAT is the problem with Rupert.

He doesn’t deliver news. He peddles crap.

With all do respect…Sandman… Salvation delivers…and judgement is for those who are without it….We are each held accountable…and will have to deal with the consequences… salvation or not. Whatever Mr. O’Reilly’s standing is with the Almighty is his alone to work out…as so for us all. This website is built to persecute Fox… Right? It does not matter the extremity of it…it still occurs. You are participating in it as well.
I am just appreciative that one would question this for Christians to know why all of it, not just renaming a tree, is increasingly occurring to eliminate Christ from his own birth celebration… Christ is HIS own … tree or not…and those who waste time trying to rename what has always been known as a Christmas tree… to make sure no one is offended… should just not participate.. This does pose a question to Christians…why the allowance of so many seculars can dissolve what Christians know of with certainty. Choose to…or not to…but everyone’s faith or nonfaith is their own. I think our nation has bigger issues…. all starting at home.

Didn’t O’Reilly shout “Christianity is not a religion!!!!!!” at a guest last week? When exactly did he embrace atheism?

@Heather: As a kind and loving person, why on earth would you want to defend the likes of people like Bill O’Reilly who practically never say anything that Jesus would approve of?

" … and judgement awaits those who persecute."

That’s good advice.

And Bill O’Reilly is someone who should perhaps heed those words when he encourages his cult like followers(see…Scott Roeder) to persecute a public official with harrassing letters and cards.

Sure it’s just an “ego trip” for O’Reilly, but, sometime’s it has deadly consequences(see…Scott Roeder, above).

By the way, FoxNews persecute’s almost everyone who disagrees with there rightwing agenda so you might want to stay away from the “bath salts” and get some perspective.

I know that I know that Jesus IS Lord….a miracle worker…present every minute of my hour of every day… I pray you commentators experience the cross… It’s easy to get aggrevated about taking Christ out of his own birth celebration when you have experienced HIM for yourself. I can relate with Bill O’ Reilly in his taking a stand…and even if it offends others…. I will stand…. for my Lord… with hopes that you may experience salvation…Our redemption draweth nigh… and judgement awaits those who persecute. The seventh and final prophecy is in effect…and the third seal has been opened. If you do not know HIM… you should seek HIM….

“Nice sentiment!”

No, Bill. Nice sentiments don’t come from spite. I think your god knows this.

This whole thing is a bit over blown.

Since Christianity is NOT A RELIGION, per Billdo, I don’t know why everyone is worked up about NOT CELEBRATING HIS birthday.

On the wrong date.

Of course I mean Baby Jeebuz’s birthday, not Billdo’s.

Next he will claim, Billdo not Baby Jeebuz, another most glorious victory upon the smelly “partisan progressive secularists”

Don’t forget to stop by Billdo’s Shop of Merry Philanderer, er, Philosophy Loofahs for all your Philosophy Gifts.

Spot on, Visitor 55.

On Tuesday night, BOR specifically asks folks to mail Jesus Christmas cards to the RI Gov and then the Wednesday night BOR acts like there is no particular religion involved with Christmas. Gawd, that’s too funny!

Well, if nothing else we here at NHs and David Silverman (from BOR’s facist “what religion is involved with Christmas?” segment) can all have a good laugh at BOR’s expense. Yep, he definitely IS losing it. Bwaaah!

Perhaps they should caption their Jesus cards “Have a Merry, F***ing Christmas” ?

Its a sad state of affairs when a national platform is used to promote very anti-Christian attitudes in the name of Jesus AND in the name of Christmas. As some people say, there is a strong likelyhood that O’Reilly is the anti-christ, which is a logical conclusion considering his hypocritical and obnoxious use of Christianity as a political weapon, and his claim that it is not a religion.

Yes my sheep, do my dirty work for me again, Little Billy EGO’reilly says. Carry out my wishes for me. Like Little Billy got Scott Roeder to do in Wichita.

Why cards with Jesus? Jesus is a Christian religious symbol and POS borally said that Christmas has nothing to do with religion.

@lakeview greg. Good use of the Craputo mark to make a point. I also heard that SOME SAY that Bildo is the anti-christ.

The USPS union members and their retirement fund thank Billo for the extra business he’s promoting.

Keep the X in Xmas, y’all.

I’m not saying he is, but what Bill is doing is very antichrist-like. Using Jesus to further your own ends is one definitive symptom of acute antichristism. Like I said, I’m not calling him an antichrist, I’m just asking if he might be one?
