Coulter And Hannity Credit George W. Bush For Iran Protests

Two-time voter fraud suspect Ann “Boombox” Coulter appeared on Hannity last tonight to offer her thoughts on Gov. Mark Sanford’s infidelity, Iran and other matters. Despite the official voter fraud investigation currently pending against her in Connecticut, and despite a previously unbridled enthusiasm for (other people) going to war against Iran, Coulter was suddenly in solidarity with the Iranians protesting what they feel are fraudulent election results there. Apparently, however, Coulter likes Iranians better than she likes a good chunk of America. With her characteristic hyperkinetic speech, she declared that the left “hate(s) America so much, they assume the rest of the world does. No, Iran does not - especially those protesters. They don’t hate Americans... Those kids want to live in freedom.” Then, barely pausing for a breath, she went on to claim that the Iranian dissidents had been inspired by Bush’s 2003 “liberation” of Iraq. Sean Hannity agreed and falsely claimed she and he were the only ones saying so. With video.

"Liberal" Van Susteren Prods Lindsey Graham To Criticize Obama's Latest Iran Comments

Greta Van Susteren is touted by Fox as a liberal who balances the rest of the conservatives on prime time. But on last night's (6/23/09) On The Record, "liberal" Van Susteren reviewed President Obama's press conference and his latest statements about Iran with two Republicans, Rep. Pete Hoekstra and Sen. Lindsey Graham, and no Democrats. Clearly Graham was trying to be diplomatic and supportive of the president but Van Susteren repeatedly did her best to prod him to be more critical. With video.

Hannity And Bolton Develop Sudden Concern For Iranians’ Well-Being - Just In Time To Attack Obama

After years of longing for war against Iran, Sean Hannity and Fox News contributor John Bolton have developed a sudden affinity for the Iranian people. I’m sure it was just a coincidence that this newfound sensitivity dovetailed neatly into new opportunities to criticize President Obama, this time for not standing up forcefully enough on their behalf. Then, in an irony that seemed to be lost on the two chickenhawks, beat their chests with further bellicosity. Then, revealing an astounding arrogance, Bolton admitted the U.S. is not able to provide much assistance to the dissidents anyway. With video.

Glenn Beck's Love Of Country On Display: Comparing The USA To Iran While Claiming MLK And Gandhi As Role Models

Glenn Beck, the uber-patriot who breaks down in hammy tears for the camera just thinking about how much he loves his country, nonetheless compared the United States to Iran during an online chat with the Washington Post Monday (6/15/09). And after he was done with that inflammatory comparison, Beck claimed Martin Luther King and Gandhi as role models.

O'Reilly Uses “Best Defense Is A Good Offense” Routine on Tiller

Guest blogged by Julie

“The murder of Private William Long – that is the subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo.” On Tuesday night's The O'Reilly Factor (6/2/09), Bill O'Reilly tossed out, in my opinion, one of the most unconscionable displays “in broadcast history” (to borrow a well-worn O'Reilly phrase) of the ink-in-the-water squid defense, or the best defense is a good offense, or two wrongs make a right, plus general truth distortions and right-wing goon tactics. The most abominable thing here is that O'Reilly invoked the senseless death of a young soldier to justify and rationalize his own heinous participation in targeted attacks on a doctor who was also senselessly murdered – and he used the death of this young Private as an opportunity to continue to smear GE and Immelt and MSNBC. And as soon as this young man's usefulness to O'Reilly ended, as soon as O'Reilly was able to use Private Long's death to ramp up the attacks on his chosen targets, Private Long was nothing but dust in the wind to O'Reilly. With video.
