Hillary Clinton made a rare showing on The O’Reilly Factor last night, where she weighed in on the terror attack in Nice. She got almost half as much time as Donald Trump but I think she sounded twice as informed, reasonable and smart.
Clinton got about seven minutes to Trump’s 12. Not surprisingly, there was no spoon feeding of attack lines from host Bill O’Reilly, no attempt to make Clinton look presidential as he did for his buddy, Trump.
That said, O’Reilly was respectful and fair, though far more critical than he was with Trump, O'Reilly asked no gotcha questions and it was a substantive interview.
Watch it below, from the July 14 The O’Reilly Factor and let me know what you think.

Saying that Clinton sounded much more reasonable and informed than Trump isn’t saying much. To me, she didn’t sound informed or reasonable, either- Quite frankly, her answers sounded like an ill-informed campaign speech. She didn’t actually answer any of the questions, it was just a lot of buzzwords and her signature “I would, but I can’t because they’re so mean to me” rhetoric. Which, quite frankly I’ve sick of hearing from her since she wore out that line as Sec of State.
If you’re gonna be our next president, act like it, Clinton. You’d be losing by a landslide if it was ANYONE but Trump on the other platform. And this boo-hooing about how you’re so picked on to get out of giving substantial answers at times like this is a big part of why.

NATO is going to be too busy keeping Putin’s military in check to send troops against the much less formidable targets in the Middle East. targets that probably have little to do with supporting these lone wolf terrorists. Rusian agression is the real military issue at this time, but of course Fox doesn’t want to diss their sometime hero Putin, or to point out any military action Obama takes that they approve of.

What worries me a lot is the jingoism and a clear tendency to jump the gun on the investigators. Rampant speculation based on the perp’s name and origin. So what? The guy was Tunisian (not French-Tunisian as persistently reported by CNN as they show the ID card of a landed immigrant: “Titre de séjour”).
That’s all they’ve got so far and yet there’s all this talk about war, not a struggle but boots-on-the-ground war. Lots of people who wouldn’t be on the front line are itching for a battle to be waged by others. Good for ratings, eh?
Fact is that nothing (NOTHING) has as yet been found to link the perp with anything except a psychotic break. By all accounts, he wasn’t much of a Muslim and he left no note claiming allegiance with anything. They’re still looking through his computer, so even I shall refrain from drawing a final conclusion. I wish only that the jingoist commenters would do the same. All this talk about war is extremely dangerous.
PS: Trump’s call for some sort of “Sharia test” is just as silly as the old requirement for USA-visa seekers to sign a declaration stating they were not, nor ever had been Communists. A terrorist intent on mayhem will simply lie through his/her teeth.

The interesting thing to me was Bill’s ridiculous let’s declare war baloney. It’s a trap in that he’s trying to suck Hillary into another Dubya style U.S. (and NATO) troop surge. She wisely avoided it and cleverly brought up facts regarding an intelligence surge which had O’Reilly thinking.
Fewer ums and ahs from Hillary and she’s knocking it out of the park.
Also, if dumbass Donald bites as I expect on the let’s declare war red meat people are going to groan us fighting the ground war for Iraq again and sending home the body bags.
Also, Bill’s simplistic bomb ISIS headquarters (like Obama never thought of slaughtering all the civilians in and around it) is ludicrous.

She could be on a quarter of the same amount of time and sound twice as informed, reasonable, and smart as Drumpf. Just about anyone could.
O’Reilly asked no gotcha questions and it was a substantive interview.
You mean, he didn’t mention emails or BENGHAZI? — Not ONCE??!!
Man — that Ailes lawsuit really HAS got everybody at Fox off their game . . .
