I don't go around keeping tabs on Franklin Graham but it seems that whenever he shows his face in public he either goes birther or says something to denigrate and smear people who are not evangelical, conservative Christians. But you'd never know that from watching the lapdog interview on Hannity last night. It may be the one time Sean Hannity passed up an opportunity to bash President Obama. I suspect it was because Hannity was too busy flaunting his "life-changing" schmoozing with Graham giving out Christmas gifts to children in poor countries.
As our friends at Crooks and Liar's Video Cafe noted, just yesterday an interview aired on ABC's Family Channel in which Graham announced that President Obama won re-election because "we've turned our back on God."
That pales in comparison to Graham's previous birther attacks and remarks that President Obama is a Muslim under Islamic law and may secretly be a Muslim, himself. Or his refusal to say whether Holocaust victims went to hell.
But Hannity was too busy gushing over Graham's Operation Christmas Child charity - and his own association with it - to bring any of that up.
Before Hannity even got to what Graham's project is about, Hannity was flaunting his chumminess:
I had the great honor last year, me and my family, got to go with you to the Dominican Republican and to Haiti... to some very poor neighborhoods... and we went to schools that were in desperate need, orphanages we went to, and for all these years we've been doing the Christmas boxes with you - I've donated, I've been a part of it, I was glad to help, I had no idea of how much these boxes mean to these kids.
We even saw video of Hannity handing out the gifts.
You'll be happy to know he plans to go back again this year with his family.
