Hannity Talking Impeachment Again, This Time Over Benghazi Attack

Posted by Ellen -382.80pc on September 28, 2012 · Flag

Here we go again. Not since Sestak-gate, no, Fast and Furious-gate, no campaign-ad-gate has Sean Hannity asked “What did the president know, when did he know it?” as if impeachment is imminent – this time over Benghazi-gate. Well, in his dreams, anyway.

Hannity claimed Americans “deserve the truth” about what happened in Benghazi, Libya on September 11th when several Americans were killed, including the U.S. ambassador to Libya. Yet, “truth-seeking” Hannity seems determined to avoid interviewing any reporters with actual knowledge about the situation in favor of hosting a stream of partisan pundits more skilled at attacking President Obama. Hannity’s previous phony experts included Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter and Herman Cain. Last night, we got Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani has experience dealing with the aftermath of terrorism but he’s hardly any kind of expert on the uprisings in the Middle East.

Giuliani repeatedly used the word “cover up:” He said the administration had engaged in “a cover up – a deliberate attempt to cover up the truth… and the worst kind of cover up.” Yet, Giuliani didn’t offer a single new fact or bit of information go beyond his flame-throwing speculation.

After he finished suggesting President Obama deserved to be impeached, “Great American” Hannity slobbered over Israel’s President Benjamin Netanyahu as an example of a superior leader. He called President Obama’s speech at the United Nations “embarrassing to this country.” But Netanyahu? “With moral clarity, certainty, understanding of what is at stake in the world,” Hannity said.

What the bullyboy hatriot really meant was that Netanyahu has the same war-with-Iran fervor that Hannity has. Not that chickenhawk Hannity will be putting his own fanny on the line any time soon. Heck, he won’t even make good on his promise to undergo waterboarding for charity, even though he insists it’s not torture.

By the way, Hannity is not alone in impeachment fever. Heather, at Crooks and Liars, noted Mike Huckabee on America’s Newsroom today hinting at impeachment also:

I think frankly, if this issue really gets traction that it deserves, and let it say it deserves, go back. Richard Nixon was forced out of office because he lied. And because he covered some stuff up. I will be blunt and tell you this. Nobody died in Watergate. We have people who are dead because of this.

"Fair and balanced" Fox Nation is also getting with the program with a post called Benghazi-Gate.

Media Matters has a report on myths and facts about the Benghazi attack and protests in the Middle East.

In other words, Hannity may well have to trump up some new excuse to ask, “What did the President know and when did he know it?” And I have no doubt that he will.

We should note that Steve Murphy once again did a fine job of calling Hannity on his nonsense here. When both Hannity and the right wing guest tried to gang up on Murphy with this stuff, Murphy shouted right back at them, telling Hannity he was saying “scurrilous things” about the President and making the point that the other guest had no idea what he was talking about. Murphy deflected all of their rhetoric to the point that Hannity ended the segment in clear frustration. It’s nice to see a guest on Fox tell the simple truth to Hannity.

Handout Hannocchio’s show needs to be impeached. It’s a useless show hosted by a useless serial liar.

The Stop Hannity Express says America is being lied to by this arrogant, self-serving hypocrite with an ego as large as the Black Hole in space.

If Hannocchio wants to talk about widespread cover up, let’s talk about News Corporation’s widespread cover-up of the hacking and bribery scandal that resulted in 47 people arrested. More to come, by the way.

The Express encourages all the masses to inform the nation of News Corporation’s ongoing criminal investigation by authorities in the U.K.

These Fox “News” frauds have scandals hidden scandals in their closet.

Tutti Fruiti Rudy is in no position to talk about corruption and lies, given his extra-marital activities.

Companies that hack into people’s phones are the terrorists.

Joe: Ellen didn’t say he did a good job in the aftermath of 9/11, she merely said that he has experience with the aftermath. You know, being the mayor who dealt with the 9/11 aftermath.

No one thinks Giuliani did a good job in retrospect- In fact, how many people seemed to just be counting down the days until they could say he was just using the Patriot train to shut up criticism of his performance?

But he does have experience with the aftermath- just not any worth bragging about.

Hannity was talking impeachment the first month of Obama’s administration when the president ordered mustard on his hamburger.

Notice how kkklannity and his fellow pigs can’t even bring themselves to lie to the FoxGOPTV sheep about how wonderful Etch-a-Sketch Rmoney is? They hate Rmoney, but they irrationally hate President Obama more.

So to make themselves feel better, they’ll lower themselves to lie about President Obama, try to make him look bad and keep the hate red hot. For some reason, they have no trouble lying about non-neocons. It’s party before country for these neocon pigs. Always has been.

Hey Hollywood, second sentence in the lead paragraph an out and out lie. I gave your link a try and it failed sooooooo quickly.

Sorry HC, you weakened whatever case you were attempting to prove.

I find very interesting that GOP spinners are jumping so quickly to get on board this train. From everything we are seeing, it’s fairly clear that the demonstrations across the region were provoked by this hateful video, in the same way that the cartoon provoked a bad reaction a few years ago. It was deliberate incitement by the guy who did it.

This doesn’t mean that terrorists or others who wanted to hide among the demonstrators didn’t use the situation to their advantage. I wouldn’t be surprised if the idiot who made the video deliberately tried to provoke a reaction on September 11th, specifically to try to cause an uproar. And what do you know? A few terrorists or criminals (we don’t know all the facts even now) piggybacked on the events to do their own mayhem.

What happens now is the investigation of everything about the attack. And the last thing the authorities are going to do is announce either their strategy or their current conclusions until they have their suspects in hand. Otherwise, those people will disappear. (Even some Fox pundits had to acknowledge that one)

But none of this stuff has anything to do with the election or with Obama. The only person who’s had a political problem as a result of this situation was Romney, because he opened his mouth in public before he knew what was going on.

This week’s issue of “The Economist” has a vignette that illustrates pretty effectively (IMO) the vast gap between the two candidates in terms of experience.
While Obama is shown as having acquired hands-on experience juggling a whole passel of issues [only one – jobs (only?) – being shown as a ball and chain], Romney smugly juggles three: “Bain Capital”, “The Olympics” and “Governor of Massachusetts”.

Anybody remember Hannity’s opinion with regard to “The Economist”?

@Robert Urban: spot on. The people best placed to know the most about what was happening locally were precisely the AMBASSADOR and his team, and the AMBASSADOR – had he felt the need – would have had no problem in asking for a large escort. Only the investigation will tell us (if we’re lucky, spooks being spooks) why he went there with only three back-up.

Republican:

What you’re missing is a grasp of reality. Bush LIED about WMD in Iraq and Saddam’s links to 9-11 attacks. THEN, he started a war which caused 100,000 deaths of innocent Iraqi civilians at the very least. He refused to listen to Hans Blix that Iraq was disarmed, a fact stated by many who opposed the war.

Here, let’s assume Obama lied. He “lied” after the fact someone was killed. The death didn’t happen as a “result” of Obama’s “lies.” See the difference?

Your article is a partisan hit piece backed by only your imagination. You find accusations Bush lied as offensive yet you make the same about Obama without realizing that Bush got warnings of Al Qaida’s plans months before they happened and did absolutely nothing. Will Obama lose elections because of this? Given that Bush didn’t lose elections in 04 over his far worse oversight, I have to give you a big fat NO.

“Giuliani has experience dealing with the aftermath of terrorism…”

Really Ellen? Are you sipping some of Slanthead’s coolaid? You wondered a few days back why Hannity puts on the same “phony experts” all the time.

Answer is simple: because they will reliably parrot the anti-Obama trash talk fed to them by, and egged on, by Hannity.

Giuliani is a fraud. “America’s Mayor”?… pure mythical bullshit. This stunted (he wears high risers in his shoes) would-be Mussolini was terrified out of his mind on 9/11. He walked north from Ground Zero in almost a daze (don’t forget, the city’s command center was located at the WTC, at Giuliani’s insistence).

The cameras and mics were following along, and he managed to utter a few reassuring words which the media blew way out of proportion. The ONLY reason Giuliani stood out that day was due to the fact that the wimp Governor (Pataki) was cowering somewhere, and Dubya was flying far west to get away from danger.

In the aftermath of this terrorist horror, Giuliani’s solution was to try to suspend NYC’s charter and keep himself on as Mayor. Thankfully the courts acted responsibly. Seven years later, GOP primary voters told this little turd what they thought of him by giving him almost no votes. Eight years as Mayor of this city was enough. And I have to admit my naivety by voting for him twice.

Let’s be nice to Holly Republic….I just spent 4 ours with my neighbor who is fervently pro-choice and a fervent racist. And his beer was ‘skunky’.
Hey, but , on-topic, Fox News (and Guili911a) sucks.

Ok, after reading Hollywood Republican’s link, I’m suddenly interested in seeing Andy Breitbart’s death certificate. Because it’s a pretty good impression if Andy really is feeding the worms.

Complete with no evidence, and a pretty heavy load of lies that were debunked 20 minutes after their first telling.

Sorry. I meant Ambassador OF the United States. But you get my drift.

All these idiots are assuming that an Ambassador to the United States, who’s job is to consistently update the President, and Secretary of State of what is happening in the area he is in, was ‘Completely Unaware’ of the situation in THE FUC$IN COUNTRY HE WAS AN AMBASSADOR TO. He would have been the one and ONLY person who would know better than ANYBODY of the tension and danger he faced in the country he was the AMBASSADOR to and would have been the person informing the Pres. about it. Not the other way around. Yet these NIMRODS say he was clueless about ANYTHING on the anniversary of the attack on America and came to the conclusion that he new less about the probable conflict facing the Embassy than Washington? The stupidity of this argument actually numbs the mind and is an insult to the 4 Americans who died. They are basically saying that they were to stupid to see the danger they were in and would have run with their tails between their legs if only Obama would have warned them. The very chickenshit crap I expect from someone like Hannity.
