Having known several Marines in my life,I honestly am not surprised at Ermey going a little wild. Lot fo those folks are outspoken and will say and do what they are convicted to say and do,to htier detriment or not. I think it’s cool on his part to have apologised so quickly.

I’d really laugh hard if Ermey jumped Faux’s shit for trying to use his words to gin up more false outrage. Especially in the wake of him retracting and apologising. Since obviously Ermey felt his statements were wrong in hindsight,I’d think the ‘Gunny’ would take Faux to task over this.

Course that may be just wishful thinking on my part.

An addendum: This same friend ex-Marine would despise the gunny even more as a result of knowing about the NRA board position.

One is given to wonder what Shun would have said if the “gunny” had offered to waterboard him just to get that seemingly forgotten pledge out of the way. Ermey generally does try to play it straight down the middle. However I’ve a long-time friend ex(as opposed to former Marine- most Marines are “former” on the basis of once a Marine always a Marine) This friend, combat vet two tours, second at the behest of the crotch is most definitely an ex. He says he’d meet the “gunny” anytime, anywhere, “gunny” chooses weapons or no. Despises the dude.
Richard Santalone sounds like been there done that his “visualization” has the ring of authenticity. Perhaps crazy, but satisfying, nice work.

In KKKlannity’s wingnut universe, a “Great American” is anyone who hates President Obama.

High End Hannocchio isn’t fit to be in broadcasting..period. His sole purpose is to do whatever it takes to remove Pres. Obama from the White House.

Hannocchio is miffed because Obama has refused to seat down with him for an interview. Obama only talks to real journalists, not amateurs like Hannocchio.

R. Lee Ermey aka the Drill Sargent in Full Metal Jacket, was on the radio at WLS Chicago when he made these statements. WLS carries Limpbrow, and is therefore the station tends to be Right leaning. He said these things in front of a live audience at a Toys for Tots event in December and he may have been in the “Cups” at that time. He is forgiven.

“Gunny” has a good record of military service, both active duty and retired as a contributor to military ventures. He’s a loudmouth with a history of WTF comments, but he’s always been quick to apologize and try to do right by the people he offended.

In other words, if he had a bit more control over his mouth, he’d be the opposite of someone like say- Chris Kyle.

Hannity isn’t fit to be in the same state as him when it comes to the topics of patriotism or doing the right thing. Let alone trying to make him second guess his judgement.
