Geraldo Rivera Smacks Down Glenn Beck’s Hate-Mongering Conspiracy Theory About Occupy Wall Street Protests
Geraldo Rivera offered some real sanity in the wake of Glenn Beck’s crazy hate mongering about Occupy Wall Street protests on The O’Reilly Factor last night, calling Beck's comments, “harsh at best, paranoid or delusional at worst.” Rivera also turned aside Bill O'Reilly's serious question as to whether the protests might be a threat to the stability of the country by making a joke.

Glenn Beck visited The O’Reilly Factor last night and it was just like old times. Apocalyptic? Check. Hate mongering? Check. Incendiary rhetoric? Check. Tied to President Obama without any real facts? Check. Van Jones smear? Check. The only things missing were his crocodile tears and the chalkboard. But it was easy to get the picture anyway as he foamed at the mouth about how the Occupy Wall Street Protesters were poised to unleash some world calamity. O’Reilly seemed skeptical about some of it but he didn’t offer any serious challenge and even egged on Beck at points.

How Ugly Will Be The Sarah Palin-Fox News Break Up and How Soon?
A recent headline at Crooks and Liars was guaranteed to catch my attention: “Palin Now Feuding With Juan Williams and Megyn Kelly,” written by Tina Dupuy. It’s similar to some of what we do here at News Hounds: it’s a few words to introduce a video clip, in this case one of Lawrence O’Donnell from MSNBC. However, it dovetails nicely with a hilarious and insightful post on Depuy’s blog I read about a year ago titled “Sarah Palin: America’s Full-Time Professional Duelist” in which she pegged The Quitter From Wasilla better than anyone else has, before or since: “In fact, Palin is now our nation’s only full-time professional duelist. She fights with everyone. Her entire post-quitting career is centered on flame wars, most of which she starts. They are often petty, sanctimonious, trumped-up jabs which do nothing but make the media talk about her more. And she’s monetized the drama. She’s gone pro. Yes, she’s found the formula Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian pioneered: shameless and shallow sells.” Written eleven months ago, nothing Sarah Palin has done or said has changed that impression. All Dupuy has had to do is maintain her “Sarah Palin’s Enemies List,” a compendium of all the feuds (whether one-sided or not) that Palin has engaged in since she left Alaska in the lurch. That list now stands at 92 and, amazingly, has grown by two since I began this article!!! The O’Donnell clip is about Palin’s feuds with Megyn Kelly and Juan Williams, coming in on Dupuy’s list at numbers 89 and 90 respectively. Palin using Fox “News” to engage in her petty feuds is nothing new. What is new, however, is that her feuds are now with other Fox “News” personalities. Watch:

Eric Bolling: Fox's New Conspiracy Theorist
When Fox “News” unceremoniously dumped Glen Beck, conspiracy nuts across the planet not only mourned his loss, but actually spun it into their web of conspiracy theories: authorities needed to silence The Beckinator because he was getting too close to the truth. With Beck off cable, where could nut jobs go to get their [free] daily adult requirement of conspiracy theories? Not everyone is flush enough to fork over whatever crazy amount it costs to subscribe Beck’s webalicious GB[L]TV. Genius that he is, Eric Bolling has recognized that fact and has sought to fill the gap by spewing one whacked out conspiracy theory after another. Hardeep Dhillon of Media Matters makes that very point in an article titled, “Bolling Uses Obama's Support Of Israel To Claim He Doesn't Support Israel.” According to Dhillon:

The Five Finds Glenn Beck’s Long Lost Prop Closet
As the former-Fox “News” Fear-Monger-in-Chief Glenn Beck was winding down his show, after being unceremoniously dumped by the so-called “Fair and Balanced” network, he warned us that we would be begging for the time that he was only on tee vee one hour a day. I have yet to hear any begging for Glenn Beck’s return, especially after he compared the victims of Norway’s horrendous massacre to the Hitler Youth. Yet The Five—still the worst show on television—must be worried that the ghost of Glenn Beck could be returning to haunt their hour-long, 5-day a week, audition tape. Nothing else explains why they have broken into Glenn Beck’s Crazy Prop Closet™. Here’s Eric Bolling presenting Bob Beckel with a giant teabag, the perfect symbol for those who feel they got teabagged by the debt deal. Enjoy the absurdity:
