Rep. Michele Bachmann visited Fox News’ America’s Newsroom as part of her last day in office. Not surprisingly, she railed about President Obama in her swan song. What was very surprising, however, was the anti-Christmas farewell given to her by host Martha MacCallum.
At the end of the interview,MacCallum discussed, with friendly indulgence, an anecdote about Bachmann asking President Obama to bomb Iran while the two were at the White House Christmas party “by the Christmas tree.” As our Priscilla mentioned, it's not exactly Christ-like to use a Christmas party as an opportunity to urge a bombing campaign.
But wait, there's more! MacCallum revealed that she is an even bigger enemy of Christmas!
MACCALLUM: Interesting exchange. …I want to thank you for being with us quite often in your capacity as Congresswoman and wish you well in your future endeavors. And I’m sure we’ll see you on the other side in your next life, in the next chapter, as well. Thank you very much, Congresswoman, Michele Bachmann. Good to see you. Happy Holidays to you and your family.
And how did Bachmann react to this affront on Christmas? She said, “Thank you.”
