Minutes before Megyn Kelly went on her rant about being unfairly characterized as a race baiter, she conducted a softball interview with Kevin Jackson, who makes a habit of race baiting on Fox News, and offered no challenge as he attacked African Americans for being outraged at police killings of unarmed African Americans and President Obama for being too sympathetic.
Jackson is Fox’s favorite kind of African American: The kind who makes statements like, “We need a white, Republican mayor” of Baltimore and a “white, Republican president.” He’s also the kind who attacks a civil rights activist by calling him “a race pimp.” And the kind who suggests that African American teenagers at a McKinney, Texas pool party deserved to have a gun drawn on them and, in the case of one young teen, have her face ground into the dirt.
In fact, Fox think so highly of Jackson, his appearance on The Kelly File was at least his second on the network in one day.
Host Kelly did everything to imply that Jackson was a credible authority on the subject of race, crime and the police even though he has no credentials in policing, sociology, public administration or anything else that would qualify him to opine on the subject. Other than his apparent eagerness to malign African Americans.
Jackson started by suggesting that President Obama is a thug in the White House deliberately discouraging police from doing their jobs in order to embolden thugs on the street.
JACKSON: Thugs don’t lose their jobs. In fact, when cops are not in, protecting neighborhoods, thugs have a free reign. And that’s essentially the type of environment that’s been created.
…It’s not just about cops losing their lives or losing their jobs, they’re afraid to do things and so I think you’re gonna find out that if Obama’s gonna be talking about a legacy, …his legacy’s gonna be the most corrupt, the most crime-ridden administration, probably in the modern era.
Rather than challenge that ludicrous statement, Kelly feigned balance by offering her description of what she thinks President Obama’s position is. It just so happened to further the “Obama’s too black” meme Kelly so often promotes.
KELLY: He views this, at least some people in the administration, including in the DOJ, view this as a problem (of) out-of-control, racist cops and they’re gonna fix it. We’ve seen case after case after case where a white cop shoots and sometimes kills an unarmed black defendant.
“It’s absolute nonsense,” Jackson declared. Then he began another bona fides-free, racial attack.
JACKSON: What’s happening is, every time something involves a black person, you have people like DeRay McKesson or whatever his name is, and other people who are waiting, Megyn - they are literally waiting for the phone call to say, “Go stir up trouble.”
These things happen. Bad cops, bad policing, bad whatever, bad doctors, bad lawyers. It happens all over the country, to people of all kinds of colors. You’re not going to see Asians rioting over this when it happens to them because everybody realizes that mistakes can be made. But what’s happened is, we’ve got a situation now, set by the president, established on down the food chain with Eric Holder and probably now with Loretta Lynch that says, “It’s free reign over the cops.”
Kelly didn’t challenge a single word. When Jackson finally stopped slamming all of Fox’s favorite targets, she asked, “Can President Obama make a difference here?” She cited Camden, New Jersey as a place where both Obama and Republican governor Chris Christie claim community policing has worked.
Jackson dismissed Camden as a “one off” before starting one more Fox-friendly, racial harangue:
The only over-arching piece that we’ve seen, Megyn, is when Barack Obama runs to the side of color, in the Gates affair and the Trayvon Martin affair and practically every instance at the national level where a cop is involved with a community, he uses that as an opportunity to reinforce how bad it is to be an American, how bad cops are against what he calls “communities of color.” But then he’ll go do the one off in New Jersey, which is just a band-aid on a bullet hole.
And the fact of the matter is, I don’t believe at the over-arching level, and I think most Americans, many of the conservative Americans would agree, Barack Obama doesn’t care about that. He actually wants to set the narrative that cops are targeting communities of color, disregarding the facts that, unfortunately, there’s a lot of crime in these communities of color.
Kelly murmured her appreciation. For “balance,” she said Obama “does defend the cops but is usually followed with a ‘but this’ and ‘but that.’”
Then she ended the interview by saying, “Kevin, great to see you.”
Later, on the same show, Kelly had the nerve to start complaining that people think she’s racially biased.
Watch one good reason why people should think Kelly IS racially biased below, from the June 10 The Kelly File.
There were several statement made by Jackson that deserved to be pushed back against by Kelly if she were being truly “fair & balanced” or interested in the truth as opposed to rabid rhetoric. But the fact that she did not push back on the above, outrageous remark proves that she is not the fair & balanced, straight news reporter that she and her defenders claim she is. She has been accused of supporting the right-wing agenda/talking points of FOX “news” and, by letting that absurd, bullsh!t remark go unchallenged, she proved her critics to be correct. Megyn Kelly – busted again.

Sorry, Kev — it ain’t even close.
From Dr. Wiki:
“The presidency of Ronald Reagan in the United States was marked by multiple scandals, resulting in the investigation, indictment, or conviction of over 138 administration officials, the largest number for any US president.”
