Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, was in an unhinged lather over the “disrespect” supposedly shown by the cast of Hamilton in its message to Vice President-elect Mike Pence a few nights ago. But Pirro was not only fine with Donald Trump’s hideous, bogus birtherism, she helped advance it on Fox News.
In case you’ve been in a cave the last few days, after Pence attended the hit show, Brandon Victor Dixon, the actor who plays Aaron Burr, read a message from the cast:
“We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

Pence was has said he was not offended. But Pirro looked like she was going to jump out of her skin with outrage:
PIRRO: What happened in that theater, one block from this studio, was out-and-out reverse racism and teed-up hate for a man who has done nothing to deserve this inappropriate and disgusting behavior by those who take it upon themselves to use what was supposed to be a night of art and recreation and appreciation for our American history as a political bully pulpit.
…He deserves nothing but our respect and acceptance, especially when he chooses to come to your play about American history for his first real moment of relaxation with his family after a grueling campaign…
Considering that Pence’s boss just tapped a white nationalist to be his chief strategist and counselor and a guy who was rejected as too racist by Reagan Republicans, (not counting the rest of Trump’s long record of bigotry and sexual assault that Pence is on board with), it’s hard to imagine that anybody who cares about tolerance in America would not be concerned.
But as for the “respect and acceptance,” Pirro completely overlooked the part where Dixon told the audience, which had begun to boo when he pointed out Pence’s attendance, “There’s nothing to boo here. We’re all sharing a story of love.”
Compare that with the “respect and acceptance” Pirro and her Fox News colleagues have shown President Obama. It’s hard to think of more disrespect shown Obama than Donald Trump’s bogus birtherism. But not only did Pirro not object, this former judge and prosecutor ignored the overwhelming evidence as she helped promote it.
And let’s not forget Dr. Ben Carson. He deliberately embarrassed President Obama during a National Prayer Breakfast. Fox News made him a hero. Pirro lauded his comments as “free speech.”
“You’re all damn hypocrites,” Pirro said, with unintentional irony. Then she suggested that she knows more about American history than the cast (without bothering to interview any of them):
PIRRO: You may know a little about hip hop and dancing around the stage. I majored in American history. And I saw the play, “Hamilton.” And I loved it. But you just took the fun, the enjoyment, and the memory of that play right out of me.
Aw, too bad.

“However, if she did “major in American history,” I’m guessing she didn’t pay much attention and/or she got her diploma after a lot of “extra credit” with her professors.”
Hmmmmmmmmmm, in other words Joseph, her college years went over with a “bang”, is that correct??
;^)
I would’ve thought a JUDGE would major in LAW.
However, if she did “major in American history,” I’m guessing she didn’t pay much attention and/or she got her diploma after a lot of “extra credit” with her professors.
I was gonna ask if Little Jeannie was that upset when Joe “Deadbeat Dad” Wilson rudely interrupted President Obama during a SOTUA — but I have a feeling I know the answer.
Besides, I think Chrissy Teigen gave a much better response via Twitter (edited by me): Look who wants a f*cking safe space now. The very thing him and his supporters make fun of as liberal political correctness. G-d, what a POS — christine teigen (@chrissyteigen) November 19, 2016
