Fox is exploiting the tragic death of Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth in order to make an all-out assault on #BlackLivesMatter.
One black racist wasn’t enough to smear #BlackLivesMatter on Fox & Friends today. In addition to the race baiting spewed by Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke this morning, cohosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Brian Kilmeade also conducted a softball interview with Fox’s other favorite black racist, Kevin Jackson to smear #BlackLivesMatter.
Just in case there was a chance Jackson might not have smeared #BlackLivesMatter, Hasselbeck “asked” Jackson, “Why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group? I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?”
Jackson let forth exactly what he had been booked to say. Then he decided to play a sociologist on TV.
JACKSON: The sad part about it is the impact that it’s gonna have in the black community and the fact that it takes away so much thought about what really is the problem in the black community which is a lack of black, whole black families and what it allows people to do is say hey, let’s point the finger at everything but where it really needs to point. If we had more black families whole in the community, we would have a lot less of this. If we had clergy who were willing to support real issues and change in the black community, we’d have a lot less of this and of course, we’ve got the Congressional Black Caucus who actually loves this type of strife.
Putting aside the gratuitous swipe at the CBC (which, of course, neither Hasselbeck nor Kilmeade objected to), let’s take a look at Kevin Jackson’s credentials on sociology and crime. Why, he has none!
And yet Fox repeatedly turns to this race baiter for “insight” into the black community’s sociology. I think we know why.
Watch it below, from the August 31 Fox & Friends, via Media Matters.
FOX will destroy this great nation, mark my words.
So in the interest of fairness and balance “Fox & Friends” has helpfully singled one out for us. Softballs only keep us razor-focused on the important high notes. No bias intended in any of this at all, you cynical libs! ;^)
The black community needs to get the clergy more involved? What kind of f***ing idiot is this guy? Seriously. The black community is deeply spiritual and there’s no more active clergy in community affairs. Naturally, these are the same pack of Fox News hypocrites who have major diaper overflows when ministers like Rev Jackson and Rev Sharpton get too involved in community matters for their taste. Good grief, man!!!
So #BlackLivesMatter is a hate group? Racial supremists according to some Fox News accounts. #BlackLivesMatter must be so much worse than Neo-Nazis reading Stormfront or the KKK because we never see the helpful and oh-so-unbiased trio of curvy couch clowns raising any alarms over them. ;^)
I’m sorry. #BlackLivesMatter is a serious, too-ignored movement and I shouldn’t jest. However, I can’t take the “Fox & Friends” transparent right-wing vomit seriously. Or maybe I should…
#BlackLivesMatter is the black community reaching out for help from political leaders. Fox News’ response? ‘We hate you for it! Now get lost!’
Unfortunately, it’s not just conservatives. I’ve got to be fair. Many libs like Bill Maher are upset at #BlackLivesMatter too. Not nearly in the same way. They’re sympathetic. It’s just #BlackLivesMatter should go bother conservative candidates and leave Bernie and Hillary alone. No, folks. This takes involvement from all political fronts to cobble together long-term solutions.
It’s depressing to think that Fox News is a major driver of conservative thought in America and they’re weighing in on one of the most political topics of our times by trying to beat it down as a hate group. Basically, 1/2 of the political equation necessary to resolve this problem has utter contempt for the notion of taking any action!
Stuff like this makes me lose faith in America. No trademark snarky emoticon at the end of that sentiment, gang.
